Quality piece on Jurgen Klinsmann and his "Eurosnobbery" www.sportingnews.com/soccer/story/2014-10-20/klinsmanns-dismissive-attitude-toward-mls-is-a-knock-american-soccer-cant-afford-garber-world-cup-altidore?modid=http%3A%2F%2Ft.co%2FU80YRRcrMX"In fact, what Klinsmann said might be logical, and it might be the popular opinion, but it is not provably true. Nor is it universal that a player is going to explore the farthest reaches of his talents only if playing against the highest levels of competition. Colin Kaepernick developed into a Super Bowl quarterback at Nevada, which is far from the brutal competition of the Southeastern Conference. It was an even longer trip for Super Bowl winner Joe Flacco, who couldn’t win a starting job at Pitt and so stepped down a half-division to Delaware. Would Stephen Curry have been given a chance to excel if he’d been a skinny walk-on at an ACC school? We don’t know, but we know what he is because Davidson gave him a chance and loads of responsibility"

I can't imagine there's many that don't recognize that the Europeon Leagues are better than the MLS. But, I question why Klinsmann aired his concerns publicly. I would think he spoke with Bradley and Clint about his concerns, so why talk down about the MLS? After all it is the best league in the US, which is the country of the national team he's chosen to coach.
