Curious to know what is the consensus on the best JV programs in the state? We all know the point of JV is to develop for Varsity in the future. But would love to know who has been consistently good as a JV program in the past 4-5 years. Walton and Buford seem to have developed some great talent within their area and their school.

Just look for who has the most consistently successful varsity programs. They'll almost always have the best JV teams as well because they can stack talent. Kids who would make the varsity team at most places end up spending a year on the JV team because who is in front of them. Most JV coaches are teachers who are helping the program and not really soccer people. There are exceptions to be sure, but most JV coaches aren't developing players.

Those programs benefit from having a very deep varsity program of ECNL and GA players so they have overflow to JV that are varsity caliber.

There have been some schools that I've seen actually bring soccer-minded people to actually coach the team and have a teacher stand in as the head coach figure. In the past, Milton has done that. As for schools that I've seen actually have soccer coaches work with the JV, I've seen Walton do that with their coach. BT recently brought a woman to with their boys side. Pope looks like they brought in a young lady work with with their girls side. I believe she may work both JV and Varsity as an assistant since both of their male coaches are football coaches.

On the girls' side, Walton has a great JV coach with years of academy, etc experience with TopHat.
