Any insight on what travel costs expectations would be on a ECRL team (Concord) vs DPL (NTH or Santos)? From looking at schedules, the season travel is probably fairly similar but do teams generally go to the same travel tournaments each season. Does one program generally attend more tournaments than another? My daughter is a 2011 if that factors in to the equation.

ECRL and DPL event travel costs are nearly the same. But traveling to league games can be different depending on where the different clubs are located. Look for the club/team that practices closest to your house with the best coach. Where costs can be different is when teams choose to sign up for more or less travel tournaments. Here's the 2011 DPL Southest clubs... system.gotsport.com/org_event/events/24097/schedules?group=176185Lookup the fields games are played on and it will tell you exactly how much travel is required.

I’m not aware of the DPL costs but I can tell you that ECRL girls isn’t bad at all. Not including showcases, you only have one weekend of overnight travel, when they play CESA and SC United back to back. The BUSA game is a day trip. All other games are in the Atlanta area.

Don’t forget to consider the new DPL clubs and how that might affect the splitting up of the EAST vs WEST potential. They have added at least 2 teams in our region in Georgia Impact and Augusta Arsenal. They are not done yet from what it looks like. The older teams played the local teams twice and the farther away teams once. Things could change as far as travel goes with additional clubs coming in.

I'm wondering if the DPL is going to perhaps move the NC teams to the Mid-Atlantic region they are forming.

Concorde ECRL isn’t too bad depending. Probably the typical trip to Greenville & Charlotte in August, Birmingham in October, Jacksonville in Jan, and Nashville in May in addition to the league play. They’ll be 2 showcases that are probably Tenn or SC in there too.

There are three DPL Open teams in the southeast right now. LSA, Albion Atlanta (Aka AFU South, formerly known as Henry County) and James Island. Will they play SCCL and then play in DPL showcases? Will there be DPL Open southeast region matches too???

All teams except the 2011's are bottom half of the table with the 09's at the bottom and 08's second from the bottom.

Close to home is good. There must be other open teams about to be announced. So the top team (only team in some age groups) will play both SCCL Champions and DPL Open?
