For which level of SCCL is this? How will Champions pan out? I would assume P1 and below as always. The Big 5/6 like to keep tight grip on the Champions SCCL level and only allow folks they want in it. Its the only flaw in SCCL that there is. There should be official promotion/relegation rules if you win P1 or in the bottom 2-3 of Champions of how you move up or down instead of just leaving it up to the clubs to promote/relegate from within between teams. Also other clubs that are allowed in P1 and below if they prove they can hold their own should be allowed to put teams in the Champions division without and act of Congress...I'm sorry I mean an act of the Big 5/6...

There is promotion to Champions from P1 and there are several teams in C who are not from the big 5. Some big 5 teams have also got relegated to P1 and below.

A few years ago it was basically up to the club to demote or promote their team within (meaning yank Champion level and give it to another team etc... or not). What year did they officially start letting more teams into Champions division? Now if you are talking about more teams than just the Big 5 outside of Georgia, they were always in that division. Are there more teams from GA than the Big 5/6 in the Champions division now? I had not looked at that division since probably 2021 or 2022 or so and that was not the case then.

Yes it is a fairly new thing. 1-2 seasons ago. It's great! Just google SCCL standings and you can look for yourself. I think it's when the name changed from Club to Champions.

Definitely at least since fall of 2022 when my youngest was U13. They still do allow for certain voted decisions. For example this year LSA U13 Gold girls did so well in fall U13 Champions they had them play spring in U14 Champions. So that was a new one. Allowed U12 teams to play up in U13 Champions two years ago (2011 UFA and Tophat). But yeah, it is pro/rel.
