Coaches Gilbert Jean-Baptiste and Alan Woods have been fired by Iggy effective immediately.
I have seen it mentioned on this forum that James Harris had been fired from UFA and that is not correct.
James Harris has not been fired while an investigation is ongoing in regard to his alleged inappropriate behavior with underage girls while at UFA.
🔥🔥🔥
Everything I have posted here is true and public information. It will be very telling if the forum mods delete this thread as they have with similar ones regarding James in the past.

Gil and Alan are headed to Concorde. Already assigned teams They were still under contract with Ufa through end of season; ie through ECNL playoffs/Nationals. Alan and Gil's teams were promised by Iggy that Alan and Gil would stay on as coaches through the playoffs. That is to say Iggy lied. Shocker, I know

Maybe you didn't read/understand my previous comment completely.
A promise vs common sense is not what we're talking about
To your point , why didn't Iggy just fire them both in April?

Deleted my posts. I am definitely opinionated, but definitely don't know enough of the details to be opinionated on this.

If they were leaving before, and now they're fired, I mean, thats all a risk we take with our employer isn't is? Would you tell your boss months ahead of time you were leaving, then be shocked if they replaced you early lol.

I was actually surprised both groups would actually go to Seattle. Figure with a majority of the players leaving for other clubs they wouldn’t want to make that type of commitment to their former club.

Figure with a majority of the players leaving for other clubs they wouldn’t want to make that type of commitment to their former club. First I think we have to wait until tryouts to truly know who is leaving. We know several of the 2011 players who are still on the fence. For the 2011 I can understand the Seattle trip being a question but if you know this group then you know they are tight and they would go for each other, For the 2009 it would be a disaster if 50% or more decided not to go with their former club and to go with their new club as that trickle down effect would screw so many plans at Concorde which would then screw plans of wherever those Concorde displaced players land which would screw those players and so on. And for the 2009 players they need this showcase for recruiting. It is a very important time for them to have people looking at them. Only one year away from D1 offers being official so they will need to be there.

Not surprised by any of this. All the UFA and CF coaches were in SC this weekend and evaluating players for the upcoming tryouts. Gil was already planning to be at CF 09 practice this week to work on his final roster. Iggy was planning to run UFA 09 practice this week and bring in players to evaluate to add to the 8-9 he is planning to keep. And yes, tryouts for 2009 are going to be crazier than normal, although rosters will be 75+% set before tryouts even start. Will also be interesting to see which players stick it out for nationals.....

In response to "....if 50% or more decided not to go with their former club and to go with their new club..."
Pretty sure that is against ECNL rules. You can add up to two players to a current roster before May 1st from the same age group AND bring up 3 from a lower age group.
Rules say, "Once registered, an ECNL Registered Player may only participate in 11v11 outdoor competitions with his/her ECNL Member Club for the duration of the ECNL Season.-“ECNL Season” means the competitive season beginning August 1 of each year and ending July 31 of the following year, including both the ECNL Regular Season and the ECNL Post-Season. Also- ECNL Post-Season. All ECNL Teams must participate in the ECNL Post-Season if they qualify.THERE IS ALSO a rule that if another ECNL club recruits a team away from a club and this causes the club to NOT be able to finish their season (going to finals), the recruiting club will be penalized. This would mean the "new" Concorde team could potentially be penalized for the "new to the club/old from UFA" players not going to Nationals with UFA.

Figured there had to be a rule against it too. It would be dumb not to in these large metro areas. This is not the first time in the last 15 years coaches have changed clubs and players followed. ECNL rules aren’t my thing.

Well I say "pretty Sure" because I am never 100% sure I am reading them right, either....
