GA has announced a new conference called South Central Conference. Only 5 clubs listed (4 from Southeast DPL Conference and 1 from the Florida DPL Conference).
South Central Conference
Charlotte Development Academy - Charlotte, NC
Triangle United - Chapel Hill, NC
Hoover Vestavia Soccer - Birmingham, AL
One Knoxville SC - Knoxville, TN
Pinecrest Premier SC - Miami, Florida
The geographic region of the clubs listed directly overlaps the Southeast GA conference. So why didn't they add these clubs to the Southeast Conference or realign clubs?

Isn't there already a team from SC and NC in the Southeastern region conference already? So the Pinecrest club will ignore and bypass the 4 other Florida clubs locally and instead head to TN, AL, and NC. Okay that just sounds bonkers and continues to remove any semblance of sense and credibility to this ECNL "league" killer...

Surely some realignment will follow at the end of the season. As it is currently --
--splits teams in Miami area; 1 in South Central, 2 in Southeast --splits teams in NC; 2 in South Central, 1 in Southeast
And TN girls play HS in fall; hence the different ECNL conferences for TN boys and girls. But maybe One Knoxville will cram all their games in the six weeks before Christmas?
Maybe some of the TH folks can shed some light on it.

Bet they are not done yet with realignment/adding teams. Forever ago we use to play against Triangle United and Wake prior to the GA days. My guess is they will be together in the conference along with Charlotte and Hoover Vestavia. Weird to split a state. They probably won’t.

What could possibly be the solution there?

Agreed No idea what they are thinking My only thought there was if Florida United and Tophat were voting “no” to allowing them in or something and GA said well we will let them in anyway in another conference if they are ok with it especially since Florida’s season doesn’t align with Georgia or something stupid like that. Total wild conjecture

Total wild conjecture I agree, very odd decision on GAs part. There has to be more coming. As is it doesn't make sense.

Season has started and that conference still makes 0 sense. Maybe it's a one year deal before they reshuffle after adding a few more clubs.
