Just want to post this in a main post since my comment on another may get lost in the comments.
My eldest kid played his last club game last Sunday. It was part of a 13 or so year journey that went by in a flash. For those of you parents with younger kids right now playing, go to every game, cherish your kid playing, heck enjoy the 5am-6am leaving from the house for an 8am game! In a blink of an eye it will all be over, and you will miss not being able to see your kid play on that pitch one last time for his club or even high school team.
When that final whistle blew last Sunday afternoon, the feelings and emotions my wife had been feeling about soccer, graduation, etc... all came bubbling up finally in me as well. Something I had been trying to suppress for a long time.
So again enjoy and cherish the hell out of it while it lasts.

With luck, you will be as lucky as I have been and have grandchildren who share the love of soccer with you. I can assure you, the second time through youth soccer is much less stressful than the first time.
