My friend's daughter is headed to AFU for tryouts tomorrow. I learned about this last minute. She is a 2008 who is probably looking at Edwin Romero or Chris Kane being her coach. Aside from the alleged donations issue are there any other big red flags (mentioned on another thread) How are these two as coaches? I know one person said development wasn't good but I've only ever had experience watching AFU during ECNL and WPSL games. As a player she has a good understanding of the game or soccer iq. She's the epitome of someone who enjoys everything about soccer. So her biggest concerns are developing and actually being able to play. She has no allegiance to any of the big clubs so if there's a better 2008 coach someone knows of elsewhere she's open to suggestions!

I saw your earlier post in another thread and replied to that but will say again here that Chris Kane is a very good coach and a great guy. My daughter played for him for 2 seasons at AFU. If my younger daughter didn’t already have such a good team/coach, I would have her play for him this season. All that said, has your friend’s daughter been to an ID camp at AFU? Hopefully so.

I'm curious to find out more about this "donation" your mentioned? Also, how did things go for your daughter and what were your thoughts on the overall tryouts at AFU? TIA...
