Happy this team performed the way they did today (albeit against a not so top notch opponent.)
What are your takeaways after this match?

The team finally scored some goals against an opponent they should have scored many goals against. Too many previous games they would have ended that game 2-0 or 1-0. Good showing for Emma’s first game.

After last night, a couple takeaways:
1- The composure and quality of 16 year old Lily Yohannes is simply amazing.
2- hopefully that was Alex Morgan's final game with the USWNT

Am I the only one in the world who had never heard of Lily Yohannes?
Alex looks slow and heavy on her feet, no quickness at all. The build up on the first goal was painful in my opinion, maybe it was the wet field wreaking havoc.
big difference when horan, rose and morgan came out for swanson, smith and rodman -- instant change.
look i like horan, but she tends to go negative way to much. Also not a fan of this back line, i know there are injuries etc. All the players seem to get the ball stuck under the feet and I saw alot of possession with no purpose.
probably the best coach they have had, so I expect her not to play favorites and throw the top 11 our there come this summer -- should see a mix of possession and direct play into space, and let the swanson's rodmans, smith dribble at people.
keeper play was solid. Still think this team will rely on athleticism

I really hope that we can keep Yohannes and we don't lose her to the Dutch team! To see that much poise in her first cap was outstanding.
