Hey you all! I just wanted you guys to hear what I have been thinking about lately! I think that Author Blank and Atlanta United should put in a bid to get an NWSL expansion side. They should talk with Morris Brown/ Clark Atlanta about using Herndon Stadium which is downtown Atlanta and a few blocks away from Mercedes Benz. It seats just around 15k and used to be home to the Atlanta Beat of the WUSA league back in the day. Maybe they could strike some deal with the two schools to help bring the stadium back to life! Also Atlanta United could use that stadium for Atlanta United II and for the open cup games instead of playing out there at Kennesaw and only using one half of the stadium. I am positive they would get more fans playing downtown than at KSU. But yea... Just a thought! Then allow for USL or WPSL etc to have access as well

Why not Kennesaw’s stadium? Why not Valhalla at Berry College? Great topic. Author went for the home run instead of the single. His name is on the US Soccer training facility. Author will not do a NWSL franchise. Plus the current wisdom is to do a USL SUPER league franchise as the cost barrier is much lower... Not to mention USL is in negotiations with Roswell to bring a USL Super league franchise there... I think Atlanta can clearly support one.... My bet is on Decatur FC becoming a D1 womens franchise sometime soon... In their 1st year, they outdrew everyone in the atlanta metro area except atl utd.
