Interesting story on WSB about turf fields and tire crumb as it relates to possible cancer in soccer players. All football/soccer fields in Cobb County are made with this.

Yes. This was previously addressed and there have been no updates to scientific knowledge as far as I can tell. At present there is no research indicating tire crumb causes cancer. Only anecdotal reports. I am betting epidemiological investigations with proper controls are in the works. They could just use sand as infill but would be way more expensive I assume.
