www.georgiadogs.com/sports/w-soccer/spec-rel/111714aaa.htmlNov. 17, 2014 ATHENS, Ga. --- University of Georgia soccer coach Steve Holeman will not return for the 2015 season, according to an announcement Monday by UGA J. Reid Parker Director of Athletics Greg McGarity. "We appreciate Steve’s efforts, and wish him the very best in his future endeavors," McGarity said. "He has always represented UGA in a first-class manner." McGarity said a national search will begin immediately for a new soccer coach. In his five seasons at Georgia, the Bulldogs maintained an overall record of 53-39-11 with two trips to the NCAA Tournament. In 2014, the Bulldogs finished 10-8-2, reaching the SEC Tournament quarterfinals before falling 2-1 to UCF in the NCAA first round.

Hmmm - wonder what happened? My daughter has gone to the UGA Summer camp for the past four years - was supposed to do the Winter ID camp this December but can't thanks to the injury. The camps, facilities and staff have always been class acts - we'll miss him!

I didn't realize he had stared the womens program at auburn in 93 then moved onto Ole miss where he had some success. He hasn't had much success at georgia, and they lost 8 of their last 10 games according to the ajc. all i know is he had some talent and when i watched them play it was not pretty soccer. he relied on selfish play of a couple superstars. watching other sec teams play there is no reason this team isn't above .500 in SEC play every year.
not sure how they made the tourney, but the sec win in the sec tournament counts as a tie since it was in PKs. so their last 6 games - 0 wins, 5 loses, 1 tie
SEC 2014-2015 - 5-5-1 SEC 2013-2014 - 5-5-1 SEC 2012-2013 - 3-8-2

Some rumblings that Randy Waldrum is at top of McGarity's list. That must mean he is willing to open checkbook to upgrade this program. Why Waldrum would come here is a different issue, but, if true, I hand it to McGarity for aiming as high as possible.
