spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AriynKqmGsRwdGUyR1ZrSFFUbHFZblNCMnBNZnNqc1E&output=html&gid=3Click on FAQ to find out how the commitments are reported. It doesn't include all, but does include many. There is also a wealth of information in the archives, including a link to every D1 signing article for a particular year. I don't know about some of you, but navigating the recruiting process is difficult and full of trial and error. Perhaps some of you could share your experience and include what worked and the mistakes made. My child's club does provide some information, but the process is different for every player, and in the end it is the player that doesn most of the legwork. Good luck with the forum. I would really like to see it take off. The old forum is so toxic and provides relatively little soccer information. An honest question results in a nasty comment. Again, good luck.

For us, playing in rural Georgia with a small club, we thought ODP to be important for my daughter to open doors. She was on ODP for her freshman and sophomore years, and we chose not to attempt the last year she was eligible (due to travel from where we live) - she had already proven it was not just luck to be on it one year. We were members of the Soccer in College website and stayed in contact with coaches. She attended and/or planned on attending ID camps for ONLY schools she had interest in. Her team played in many local (GA, TN, AL) showcase tournaments even though our team was not able to play in the top brackets of these tournaments. She also attended the GK ID camp put on by Southern Crescent even though she was not part of that program (greatly impressed).
We did not necessarily know what we were doing, but it worked out very well. She is happy with where she committed, and we did it without playing and paying for a major ATL club although she was invited MANY times and was asked to and played in State Cup twice with teams that were very interested in her.

Thanks, Dadofkeeper. Our daughter is also on an ODP team. We are very thankful since she plays for a small club a substantial dx from Atlanta and is playing up a year since there are no teams her age at the club. ODP gives her an idea of where she stands with her peers. We are winging it, too. Hope it works out as well for her as it did for your daughter.

By the way, THAT link is great. As an Accountant who is always documenting something, I have a spreadsheet on every keeper that has signed or committed over he past four years out of the three states where my daughter was interested in playing. This helped us get a good understanding as to who would or was looking for a GK. With a position as specific, this is much easier for a GK than it would be for other positions. It was helpful for my daughter.
