You can do a search on Soccer In College website. Just a warning from experience : the local ones in January and February are notorious for being all or partially cancelled due to weather issues.

Gator Showcase is not a bad preseason warm up. Better than the local Atlanta Tourneys. Girls get to see a Spring Match at UF and get a tour. Enjoyable time and competition isn't bad.

Understand the long trip part but Gainesville Florida is hardly a coach trip. Weather should be good also. When I was in Georgia it was only 1.5 hours away so Monday wasn't a big issue. But Presidents Weekend is tough as some schools don't even have the Holiday off. Good luck in your search.

I have been coaching for 30 years and I have never had a club tell me what tournament to take a team too. Oh well.

We usually get a recommended list for the teams to have good representation of the club. This is something extra our coach wants

Ok....I edited my post to correct it. After talking to my wife, she said that I was wrong. (so what's new with that? LOL) Anyway, here's what our club does.... They send out a list of tourneys that you are required to attend based upon your team level at the club. For example, Top level teams u9 to u12 attend a certain tourney while the other 2 levels attend another one or other variations of that. Basically, our club decides what tourneys we entered at a minimum. We are allowed on a team by team basis to enter additional tourneys as long as they don't conflict with the required ones and with club approval. Sorry about the mistake with my earlier (now deleted) post.

All that being said above, I will say that we will probably never do CESA Greenville again. Only 5 other teams from our club went and their club doesn't seem to be too good on returning the favor as far as travelling to ours. Besides that, it did seem that their tourney is not as big as it has been in the past. In my daughter's u9 bracket, her team was the only u9 team competing against u10s.

Our DOC typically decides which tournaments each team will attend.
As for the term "coaches vacation", not sure why people think that as most coaches barely have any time between games to do anything, let alone sightsee. Typically on Saturday nights, I'll go out to dinner with my team, pleasant experience but I wouldn't characterize that as a vacation.
