Women’s pro soccer team possibly coming to Atlanta www.ajc.com/news/sports/womens-pro-soccer-team-possibly-coming-to-atlanta/njjMt/hum, like the news but not this part: Brantley and a team of 15 volunteers have spent more than 1,000 hours of due diligence on the team, which would be named the Atlanta Vibe and would play at Grady Stadium in midtown.personally i think the success of any team would rely on putting the stadium where the players are. imagine having them play along the peachtree industrial/parkway area. tons and tons of players within 20 minute drives. i'm sure their is another accessible high school stadium.

Why not Silverbacks Park? Surely they would like another tenant.

I was just coming here to post about this! I should've known you'd beat me to it. LOL Anyway, I would love this. I agree with you that the stadium should be closer to the north side of town since it does seem this area has the largest amount of players and fan base. I'm sure there are many stadium options as well. I completed the survey yesterday and it seems they are looking at that survey to determine interest so survey away gang! Atlanta Vibe website
Saw Stevieg's post after and wanted to guess an answer....The Atlanta Silverbacks already operate a women's team in the W-League so I don't think they'd want to have another women's league compete there but then again, the Lady Silverbacks aren't packing them in anyway. We last saw them play in 2013 and there was less than 500 people there and they won the W-League that year and tickets were $5.

Why not Silverbacks Park? Surely they would like another tenant. I wouldn't have thought about Grady but they do have nice turf there. Probably more seating than Silverbacks Park too.
