First your need to make sure your current coach approves the guest play option and your team doesn't have any conflicts that weekend, it's best to get your coaches permission in writing via email to ensure the guesting coach isn't accused of any recruiting violations

Does the coach from the other team need to contact current coach ?

Usually the Coach from the other team does contact the Coach-pretty early in the procedure, because technically, you are not supposed to be talking to another Coach…They will probably need your player card. Sometimes a phone pic of it is enough if there is online registration.

If your coach approves you need your player card. Probably a waiver as well and birth certificate if its at a diff club

The coach should contact your players DOC who will contact your clubs coach. This ensures it is OK with club as well as your coach. There is politics involved. If approved they will release the player card. The team who wants a guest player should not ask you to pay any tournament fees. Your child is a guest and playing based on their request.
