Over the years, I'm sure we have all been to a tournament or two, three etc.. that seem like they had no clue how to run a tournament. Every so often we get surprised. I'm very impressed with the way SSA handled/ handling the cold weather for this weekends tournament. The communication was/is amazing. Its the small things like communication that goes a long way. Not once do we wonder, are we going to play? When is the game? Are they going to shorten the game? and many more questions that we as parents want/ need to know. Here is an example of what I'm talking about...http://soccer.sincsports.com/TTContent.aspx?tid=COBBCL&tab=4&sub=12&Qual=MISC0010 I hope other clubs see how they communicate and make a positive change. I know a lot more teams will sign up for the next one, not a problem. Anyways, I applaud SSA on how they are running this tournament....and... we are going to kick your butts this weekend Cheers, J4K

To their credit they have leaned from prior years because besides last year - this tourney has occurred during the coldest days on the planet!!
I remember a few years ago watching little u9s playing with down jackets on!

Last year was wet but bearable. My 8:00 am game will start at 9:00 but will still be unbearable.

No rain in forecast. In my opinion, they shouldn't change a thing. Dress properly and play the game.
Silly.

These arent single digit or below zero temps, so quit whining. This is a winter tournament, you knew what you were getting into when you signed up for it. What's SSA backwards because that's what they are acting like. Can't wait for my team's 8:00am game tomorrow!!

Good on SSA for communicating, that's a good thing especially for those traveling from elsewhere.
If it was raining and 25 degrees, different story. But Cold is fine. And Rain, too is fine. Both together, is not. That's dangerous.

All around the tournament ran pretty smoothly at our location and what I heard from other locations as well.
Yes I agree we all signed up for a tournament in Winter. However, the "minor" time changes only benefited the players and parents. (not so much for some of the coaches) 8am on Sunday it was a 10 degree wind chill. Sorry but that's cold on or off the field.
Well done SSA. You will get our teams money next year.
Cheers, J4K

Weather could have been worse for sure.
Only comment is Braly fields should never be used for a soccer tournament. 1. The fields were not in great shape. Outside of tourney control obviously. 2. They had some top 11s playing on a tiny tiny field
3. Fields are way to far away. With no major roads there, they are literally in the middle of nowhere. 20 minute drive from Mudcreek
Fields are not good enough to make people drive to the sticks!
1/2 of tramore wasn't used, obviously a reason why, but you can't make people drive to play at Braly with those fields in such bad condition. The upper fields were better, but fields 1 and 2 were a joke.
Oh yea. Outside of their control again, but no bathrooms on Sunday. Water pipe bursted.
