Wow, this place is insane! -- in Blaine, Minnesota www.nscsports.org/page/show/475106-athletic-fields"One of the most striking things about the National Sports Center is the number of fields. Currently the facility has 52 soccer fields. Some are used for other sports such as rugby, lacrosse, and ultimate disc. The NSC has been recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the largest soccer complex in the world. The recognition plaque from Guinness hangs in the NSC classroom."

Nice but in Minnesota? Not going to get a lot of use for about 4-5 months of the year - winters up there are brutal.

I get it - Coke footed the bill but it's not practical - or environmentally responsible to only offer those plastic bottles of water and sports drinks rather than letting kids bring in their own jugs.

Did you see this? Sustainability at Lake Point? They invested a whole lot of money on LED lights, trams that run with natural gas, no paper schedules, etc and yet they will needlessly fill trash and recycle containers with plastic bottles. That's crazy. www.lakepointsports.com/about-us/sustainability-at-lakepoint/It does look like an amazing facility though.

Wow - even Disney lets you bring outside food in when you pay $16.50 for the privilege of watching your kid play in their sports facility.

Nice but in Minnesota? Not going to get a lot of use for about 4-5 months of the year - winters up there are brutal. Blaine is amazing! I use to live in St Paul. Great facility too, very top notch for something that's been there for 25 years. Though they get more use out of those fields then we do of ours down here. They go spring, summer and fall seasons for Academy/Classic. And yes they play in this weather. I believe academy started games beginning of February. And will go like us though May. Snow isn't that bad compared to rain so you just shovel the fields before games if needed.

Snow isn't that bad compared to rain so you just shovel the fields before games if needed. Makes sense. I bet it's way more miserable for the folks on the sideline and in the stands than the players. Our last high school game was brutally cold yet nowhere near 14 degrees!

The players get free water. Cooler-Free Facility Due to the quality and maintenance needs of the synthetic turf at LakePoint, peanuts with shells, sunflower seeds and gum are strictly prohibited. In addition, LakePoint Guests will not be permitted to bring coolers, outside food and drink or glass containers into LakePoint Sporting Community. Tap water is provided for all players.
