Would this make her an '06 or an '05?? After the age mandate, I can no longer tell with the actual age of the player, what team she would be on...

In their search for answers over Katie's death, the couple said they believe she received an email regarding a potential disciplinary action from the university. "Katie, being Katie, was defending a teammate on campus over an incident and the repercussions of her defending that teammate (were possibly resulting in disciplinary action)," Steven Meyer said on TODAY. "We have not seen that email yet," Gina said. "She had been getting letters for a couple months. This letter was kind of the final letter that there was going to be a trial or some kind of something. This is the only thing that we can come up with that triggered something."" This is the part I hope we will get more clarification on... I read somewhere that the parents weren't allowed to be involved with the school issue?? idk

This has me really interested. I'm curious to see what it is that has become so toxic in the culture of the USWNT. I have some ideas, but hopefully this will give some 1st hand knowledge and insight to confirm or clarify those thoughts. Thanks for sharing!

Has anyone here experienced consistency within clubs for girls soccer with the coach and roster. Specifically, in the 2012 and 2013 ages. We have had a very inconsistent experience with who coaches the games and the roster being made up of mixed ages and different players. We are looking for options for the next try outs but if these types of inconsistencies are common, then it would help in deciding where our daughter can have the best overall experience. It looks like you are in the early ages of club soccer. What it sounds like you are witnessing is what clubs refer to as "player pools". Some clubs (large or small) like this method to get everyone involved, especially at such a young age, and to see where certain players fit in a particular skill level. This way they can more evenly match competition to get the most growth out of the kids. Within that, you usually wind up with a core of "same-level" players and then "bubble" players that, depending on the week and the competition level, might fit, or not fit, as a team for that particular week. Often times, because a player might be moved from one pool to another pool, you also wind up getting a different coach for that particular week. However, you also mentioned mixing ages. Although you didn't specify, if they are doing that, it sounds like you might be at a smaller club?? This is typically done because they don't have the numbers to fill out multiple "same-level" teams. I could very well be wrong in my assumption. If you are looking for options, and have opinions on whether or not you want a consistent team for your child or see the value in pooling players, I would recommend contacting each potential club and inquiring about how they handle these young age groups (referencing whether or not they pool players, or have one consistent coach). Both "player pools" and a "single rostered" team can have its advantages and disadvantages. I don't know if one is better than the other, it kinda depends on what you are looking to get out of it for your child. Anyway, just my thoughts and insight.... Good Luck!

Anyone else think that the HS referees are worse, or much worse, than club?? I have seen some truly awful calls and non-calls in HS varsity soccer! Go get certified. Clearly you can do a better job. Hahaha... I guess my observation caused some disagreement with some on here. Sorry. It was just an observation and wanted to know if others saw it the same way. As for getting certified and doing it myself, I have a physical limitation, that doesn't mean I don't know what I am seeing or not seeing with my eyes. I was just curious as to others' interpretations of the quality compared to top level club refs. Also, as for HS parents... I also feel they are much worse at HS games than club games. I agree with someone on here that said its probably due to the distance from the field. I also think coaches in club crack down on it more.

I'm assuming they didn't water down the fields before the game and at halftime. /s They watered down the field to make the playing surface faster. It was like they were playing on ice. Seriously! I didn't think they would actually do it since the water would turn to ice before it hits the ground. Crazy! I mean... they are already playing basically on concrete, right? Or does the field have heaters??

They want to get refs, they need field marshals to kick problem parents out. Maybe even hire off-duty police. One per complex per day should be enough. I get what your saying, and that is one part of the problem... another is passing the cost of becoming a ref ...to the actual refs. IMHO, that is ridiculous! For those sitting on the fence on whether or not to do it, that is a huge disincentive.

Curious how you knew "most of her team is vaccinated" ?? Most colleges have held vaccine drives so if the whole or most of the team got the shot from the school then there’s that. Ahhhh... college soccer. That makes more sense. I thought you were talking club soccer. I was just curious. Thanks!

Far from it but if you'd like to run with that observation, have at it. Your defensive posture, suggest you can answer maxx's question based upon first hand knowledge. So what are you "seeing" and "hearing" about these premier teams? What are they going to look like within the age groups? I'm curious to hear your honest opinion. Not a CF parent but appreciate the clubs alignments, hope they do well this season, honestly. No, honestly, I have connections with some of the Premier parents, and they don't know what to expect either. I also have my own kids that talk about their opponents like they know what to expect and I have to remind them each year is different, that teams, players and coaches need to gel, and there is a reason they play the games... because it's not always gonna wind up like you expect. That's why I said "I kid"... no defensive posture. I'm more curious to see how SSA does with GAL and where they would be pulling the players from to fill out those rosters.

Players talk to other players. Again, that's not based off my personal opinion that's why I prefaced my statement and yes some of them have already played other teams. So what you are "hearing" is coming from a few random players on opposing teams? As long as it's from such a reliable source, I guess... I kid, I kid... seriously, thanks for the honesty though.

Finally a fun topic. Not familiar with the current makeup of those CF premier teams but not hearing good things so far. Here's my pre-season predictions U16 - GSA U17 - GSA U18 - CF Plat How/Where have you "not heard good things" for the CF Premier? They haven't played anyone yet and the season hasn't started? just curious what this assertion is based off of... (don't misconstrue or read my questions out of context, I'm honestly curious)

Sorry, but that should never have been a goal. IMHO Just an observation: She seems to be more fortunate than most on some of her goals. Why should it not have been a goal? Because keeper messed up? Bingo. I could see it happen in a youth game, but not at this level. The keeper should be embarrassed more so than praising Rapinoe... btw, it could have been someone else like Press, who takes corners, and I would have said the same.

Lynn Williams -- from alternate to an assist and a goal in the first. have to assume there will be a sub made at half here. get lloyd out. she's taking up space.Dahlkemper seems to have lost her mojo, she's not the same player she used to be. take her out and drop Ertz back to center back, and bring in Rose. The dutch play way way to slow. Too methodical and no urgency - they have so much talent, it's being wasted. I have said this ( in Bold) for quite sometime. Same with Rapinoe. Sorry, but they are past their prime. Use them as super-subs in the 2nd half of a game if you need fresh legs or a change for "change-sake".

I don't see Dabo going to Bama either. At least not to succeed Saban. I could see him going there to succeed whomever replaces Saban, maybe. I think he knows he can become the GOAT of Clemson football head coaches, whereas at Bama the best he can do is 3rd-best behind Saban and the Bear. Yep-Dabo is the Bowden of Clemson. Assuming you mean the oldest Bowden... Bobby... not the Bowden that was head coach before Dabo... haha

🤔😳… had to Google this one. “ Qatar's participation comes as part of a strategic partnership between Concacaf, the Qatar Football Association and the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, the organization charged with delivering the infrastructure and operations for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.” So I googled it... I guess they have to get competition somewhere so they don't look like fools in their own World Cup... which should never have happened in the first place. Corruption at it's finest!

bogan I can't even imagine how all three are handling the barrage of hate from those within the shores of the United Kingdom and beyond. What's worse is some of the abuse is just so vile it honestly shouldn't be shared even when trying to bring light to said abuse. IMO, I put most of the blame on Southgate. You start and end your PKs with experience and darn near certainty. Putting Saka in that position was an atrocious call. The entire weight of the English football on the shoulders of a teenager, me thinks not. I think waiting to put in Rashford n Sancho that late was a calculated mistake. Should have brought them in much earlier to warm up and to add fresh legs, especially with what Sancho is capable of in breaking ankles. For the record, Grealish did want to take one, or so he says publicly... I said the same things watching it. Terrible call to have a teenager taking the 5th spot in that situation. I'd be embarrassed if I had seniority on the team and forced that kid to take the shot by not stepping up to the challenge. Also, thought the same thing with Rashford and Sancho. They should have been on earlier and gotten into the flow of the game if the intent was for them to be taking kicks from the spot.

It's not Champions league, but UFA 05s were in the finals for the North American Cup, but like you stated, no score has been posted. I was pretty sure everyone through U15 only got in 2 games before being sent home due to the storm. Only U16 and U17s were playing through it. So I don't how or where you got the records you posted, because you are showing that they the 06s, 07s, and 08s played 3 games?? Please correct me if this is wrong... but I don't think it is. The ECNL website shows the 06 & 07 age groups playing all 3 games in group play. Also, to update the list above, the 06 GSA team went 2-1-0 and were eliminated in group play. Ahhh... my mistake, the website is updated. It was just the U15s that were not in Champions League flights that were sent home without the remaining games being played. Thanks for the correction.

Are there any other Georgia teams remaining in the Girls' ECNL Champions League Playoffs other than UFA 04s? This is what I was able to come up with from the ECNL website on results and teams remaining. GSA 06s are the only ones I am not sure of since their last game score was not posted. CF 08s 1-1 Out (Single elimination) GSA 07s 1-2-0 (Out- group play) CF 06s 1-1-1 (Out - group play) GSA 06s 1-1-? (? Third game not posted on site) GSA 05s 1-1-1 (Out - group play) CF 04s 2-0-1 in group. Advanced, Out Quarterfinals UFA 04s 2-0-1 in group. Advanced, IN - Semis CF 02/03s - Out first round (Single elimination) It's not Champions league, but UFA 05s were in the finals for the North American Cup, but like you stated, no score has been posted. I was pretty sure everyone through U15 only got in 2 games before being sent home due to the storm. Only U16 and U17s were playing through it. It was hard to watch. I don’t profess to be an expert strategist, but I do think ATL Utd would stand a better chance if they could get the ball into the attacking 1/3… That sounds like a bold approach. Is that you, Cotton??

Wow.. beating up on mexico .. soo impressive You play who's in front of you. Not sure what you're on about, but we all know the USWNT does not shy away from playing the best of the best. I mean Brazil is a top 10, maybe even a top 5 and they trounced them just as easily earlier this year. So to me, it is impressive that they continue to put their heads down, work hard to deliver and just keep churning out win after win especially considering they are on everyone's radar domestically and internationally. The least we can do is support them when they trounce our rivals on the men's side since the USMNT tend to "struggle" with El Tri... p.s. I believe the Women's Mexico team is ranked in the 20s... Hypothetical question: If the USA women's team comprised a 2nd team (or "B" team) of players that don't make the 1st team ("A" team) and had them play international competition... Where do you think they would rank? Top 10? Top 5? Top 3? Just curious... I've always pondered this question myself and thought this was as good a place as any to propose it to everyone else.
