His best option is to identify as a female and take Rapinoe's spot on the WNT. Don't laugh, it's coming soon to a field near you. keep grinding that ax

I didn’t see that one! Somebody please take is social media away. All I saw was something on his IG story showing the pool, but I haven't seen other pics posted. On a good note he congratulated his lil bro winning some tournament and getting MVP

His parents need to pay for him to have a personal assistant/bodyguard/babysitter/ conscience. He's not maturing fast enough.

Maybe he should have spent a year or two at an elite college like Maryland. They seem to have one and done players that go pro. Then he could have done some maturing out of the spotlight.

My guess is he got arrested, probably something stupid like DUI, and didn’t tell the team. Probably had to give up his passport as bail before he can negotiate his plea deal.
Oh and Carleton for Rapinoe? So you wanna trade the best US Women’s player since Mia Hamm for a hack of player who's a Neverwas?

Kid may need to get his head on straight but he is FAR from a hack.

I've watched this kid since u-12, have always considered him to be a good player, but I would never consider him to be the "Best Player" to come out of Atlanta, as so many on this board have claimed. It takes a lot more than talent, and he doesn't seem to have the intangibles needed to be a true professional. Three better players from Atlanta I can name are Josh Wolf, Clint Mathis, and Walker Zimmerman, and I'm sure there are several more. I wish him the best, but I thinks he's in need of a change of scenery to get a fresh start.

Last night could’ve been a huge opportunity for Carleton, but... He got demoted, Meram got the start at left mid, played 87 min, and scored two huge goals. That pretty much solidifies AC as (at best) our 4th option at LM with Barco, Meram, and Pereira. And don’t forget that Shea is a natural LM even though we’ve mostly played him in the back...

Almost losing/forgetting it and actually doing it are different things, especially after having been blasted by your coach for a lack of maturity and professionalism. Also, has Parkhurst ever gotten suspended for the MLS Cup and banned from the team parade?

all this "punishment" of Carleton etc, reports are he trained with the first team today.....
Every time they punish him they offer him a carrot as if everything is all great.

That or it’s a training session where the first team needs a punching bag to go against and the punishment continues. I mean when I have older players screw up with bad grades the practice intensity goes straight up.

That's one big difference when we were growing up -- if we screwed up in high school, we ran hills until we puked. trust me, you never messed up again. You broke a rule in high school, hills, you got in trouble, hills and suspensions from the team. High school sports helps keep you straight and out of trouble and forces you also to maintain a minimum GPA. Life skills matter.

That was before all the so called Elite Leagues. HS Soccer is meaningless today.
It use to matter and you were proud to play for your HS. Today, kids hold HS coaches hostage on whether they gonna play or not.

At times we even had to carry a teammate on our back while running hills.

Today, kids hold HS coaches hostage on whether they gonna play or not. Okay sure but that was the 70s and 80s, even by the 90s HS didn’t matter. Most college coaches only worried and looked at club by then. Hostage? Haha more like these teachers that would struggle coaching rec and have no coaching education background try to strong arm these kids into thinking HS ball is more important then club. One of these days Georgia HS coaches will have to actually start getting licenses and certifications like club coaches. Just because GA, like 49th in education, says you can teach shouldn’t mean you can coach too. And oh yeah running suicides and stadiums was all about playing soccer. Sad that those coaches didn’t think hmm.... maybe we could do more fitness and conditioning with a ball while getting touches instead of making these players into track stars. 🤔🤔

I would put the Lambert Boys soccer coach up against any club coach I've seen.

Shameful. Turned the game off. I'd stick with them through a 0-3 start if the coaching staff actually had a spine. But to "demote" a player for a complete lack of maturity and professionalism and then immediately put him back on the bench with the 1st team? What a joke. At least Tata had the balls to bench Barco (who is world's better and more important on the field than AC) when the situation warranted it.
I mean, if you don't want to punish him, fine. Be honest. Don't pretend to punish and then immediately relent. Like I said, what a joke...
Hopefully the USMNT will put on a better show.

I fell asleep. Sounds like a good 2nd half!!
Agree with soccermom - club seems to be sending mix messages about and to Carleton. Very very odd situation - unless the coach sees rostering a kid and then not playing him as a punishment.

(Although I think Wild should have been in that spot instead.)
