I posted this under another thread, but deserving of a new thread with additional info.
Heard boys ECNL is exploring an optional 10 month season.
Heard all ECNL both boys and girls were telling clubs that bus team travel will no longer be allowed to the showcases -- there isn't enough room at the showcases to accommodate all the buses.

Current Situations at GA ECNL Clubs - some speculation AFU/GSA Girls/Boys - Was never able to get DA but may now become a destination club with ENCL? Kids that currently travel to DA clubs may choose one of these clubs if closer to home?
NASA/TH - Not able to get full Boys DA past u14, but has boys ECNL. TH Girls in DA, will girls get ECNL? If not, where will these girls go?
Concorde Girls/Boys - Currently has both boys DA and ECNL/Girls ECNL -
UFA - Only has girls ECNL, will boys get ECNL or does NPL become their top boys team??
Some kids on current ECNL teams will lose spots to DA kids. SCCL becomes stronger
Atlanta United for boys, will stand alone in GA as top destination. Friendlies with local clubs will become new recruiting tool?

soccerballz, going to be interesting for sure.
It will be a position scrabble for the first couple of years. Lots of new bodies to move around.
Hard to say what AU's plans are. If MLS has league you can bet lots of travel. It might be a great strain on some MLS budgets. You would think that they will have some sort of friendlies for recruiting.

So... is it OFFICIAL yet?? Has anyone come out and actually said DA is done? I've seen reports, and all the talk, but nothing that states it.

Funny not funny, but I see the USSF finally saying something maybe sometime in the middle of summer or who knows next year. Akin to finally telling everyone you're pregnant, a week after the reveal party 🙄🙄

For those counting, a total of 13 clubs moved their top teams from former DA to Boys ECNL yesterday:
Arsenal, Pateadores, Real So Cal, San Diego Surf, Strikers FC - SC, Albion SC, Crossfire Premier, Charlotte Independence Pro, Charlotte Soccer Academy, NC Fusion, North Carolina FC Academy, Richmond United, Virginia Development Academy
Two girls teams:
Real So Cal and San Diego Surf
ECNL just got stronger.

CF now has ALL THE MARBLES.
AT this point, CF and SSA should probably just merge completely. Imagine if CF were to dissolve the alliance, SSA would be left with...NPL?

Am I mistaken in thinking CF already had Boys ECNL, even whilst they had DA? If so what's the announcement for, a 2nd team?

Is this to accommodate and replace their old model of having a pseudo NCFC North and NCFC South within the now former DA structure?

They could fix that easily, CF could just create a new USL League One team. Build a small stadium in the Ashford Dunwoody complex. Then their academy teams could join the league with AU.
