Charlotte FC or Carolina FC (Minus the “all”) would be my vote. These other copycat names seem like they’re trying too hard. The city is the identity.

Speaking of sponsor patches, I was not a fan of Atlanta United's new NAPA butt advertisement. from what I read somewhere - the napa patch is only for the mls tourney. the bank sleeve patch is for the season though. We all know nothing speaks more Atlanta than American Family Insurance which I believe is based out of Wisconsin. (could be wrong) |

Major League Soccer announced on Friday that it is delaying the inaugural seasons of three expansion teams -- Charlotte, Sacramento Republic FC and St. Louis -- by one year because of the impact of COVID-19. Charlotte will now make its debut in 2022, and Sacramento and St. Louis will begin play a year later. Austin FC is still scheduled to make its league debut in 2021. Wonder if Charlotte will push their name reveal past the promised July 22nd date...

Some guy bought up all of the good names and trade marked them when he heard Washington was going to change their name...my guess is that he’s holding out for a big payoff. |
