“Christian Pulisic given No. 10 shirt for Chelsea, returns to full-team training.
US men’s national team star Christian Pulisic has been given Chelsea’s No. 10 jersey ahead of the 2020/21 Premier League season, the club announced Thursday.
Pulisic gets the famed number after Willian left for Arsenal. He follows the likes of Eden Hazard, Joe Cole and Juan Mata to don the No. 10 in the past.
The Hershey, Pennsylvania, native had 11 goals and 10 assists in 34 games last season, his first with Chelsea since joining from Borussia Dortmund. Those impressive numbers came despite being hampered by injuries, including a hamstring injury that forced him out of the FA Cup final after becoming the first American to score in the final at Wembley Stadium. That ruled him out of Chelsea’s season-ending Champions League Round of 16 second leg match against Bayern Munich.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard said Pulisic returned to full training Wednesday and is in contention for the Blues opener Monday against Brighton.”

I will not bet. Everyone starts with zero points. Hopefully it will stay exciting with title on the line, UEFA spots and relegation on the line, through the final weekend of play.

Just so much better watching soccer on grass.
Novel concept - ball actually slows down on the surface vs turf.
in 12 minutes in the Ful vs Arsenal game - I’ve already seen 5-6 balls that would have gone out of bounds on turf.

I saw a photo of the new Austin FC stadium yesterday. Consider Columbus and Cinci as well and there are some fantastic new venues being built for the (lousy) domestic franchise league.

Pool defense made more mistakes today than they did all last year. That VVD gaffe was crazy.
That said, Bielsa is a genius for making that ragtag group of has-beens and never-will-bes look like they belong in the EPL. Genius.
