So what’s the top team now at SSA?? GAL or the ENCL alliance?
Will any girls 07 or older leave the CF/ECNL to play GAL at SSA?
So many questions. So little answers. When will the shiny new toy stop?
Confused? You won't be after this week's episode of Soap.

Tryouts will be BANANAS. Even players from NTH will be there I'm sure not to mention other clubs.
Roswell needs to do the same thing or at least DPL. They are playing everyone's 2nd to 3rd team in SCCL. NTH's 4th team only lost to them by 2 points while they blew out most of the other teams (except AFU and Concorde).

Concorde will try to host two ECNL teams and SSA will put their top team (current Concorde Premier ECNL) in GA

NTH Navy players may choose to leave TH for SSA because they don’t get any of the benefits the gold team gets...pay same dues, get less training, no recorded games, no heart rate/fitness monitors, lesser hotels, etc.

So Tophat Navy would be included.

Only the gold teams get special treatment unless the team specifically organizes/pays separately for that.

One thing this does is make GAL more viable locally here in southeast and a stronger league overall. The SE was a hole in their league as the other regions were pretty strong. SSA has generally put good teams on the field and now will give TH a local Atlanta challenge other than a second team from within their own club. As several posters said it will also make tryouts fun again this year as the merrygo around starts for the clubs to see where everyone lands.

You’d think all that would be the case wouldn’t you...it’s not for TH Navy. Only the gold teams get special treatment unless the team specifically organizes/pays separately for that. Games were recorded for older age groups. All recorded at home and all, but one away game. The analysis by instat for all age groups has been spotty even on the gold teams. This is due to the teams sending in rosters and starting line ups for instat to work with. Many times an issue is with the opponents. Gold teams are also paying for the videoing. That isn't a navy thing alone. It gets wrapped into team dues. Gold teams were training more for a few weeks but that stopped in most age groups. They do get the HR monitors and vests (but they have to pay for those too). The thing that is worse than what I have mentioned is the crossover games the gold got and Navy did not. Definitely Navy teams don't get all of the same benefits as Gold teams but at the older age groups the difference is not as much as what you are saying. I could definitely see some Navy people leave for SSA if SSA was willing to put top team in GA and do all of the things Tophat is doing for Gold.

Not specifically referring to SSA alone but also the ECNL clubs. I know for certain that games were not recorded for the navy teams outside of parents organizing the entire process and never was there any game field review. I’m specifically talking about 02/03 and 05’s. Left this out before...trainers. A NeuroSport trainer travels with the gold team and not navy. If these fees are added into dues, then they aren’t being offered to the navy teams. In regards to hotels. Prime example is the upcoming TX event. Gold starting at a resort, navy staying at homewood suites. Might seem trivial to some, but you see what is and is not important to the club. Last issue, the promises to get 1st team in game reps and practices was just more lies just like the years prior with DPL. DPL which is an utter joke now.

That is surprising to hear. But I promise you SSA is not paying for any of that no matter what level team.

Maybe you don't know how to access the games? I have seen 9 of the 10 games on instat site. I PM'd you with details. Agree about the trainers. Hotels have been fine for us, not luxury, but fine.

As far as what teams get what ... doesn't that come down to team management too and what parents are willing to pay for? 02/03s and 05s have the same coach right? I say from experience ... I'd be willing to pay for things some parents weren't. Also ... Gold is gold for a reason ... Jordan had more perks than Pippen... IJS At NTH ... if you aren't Gold ... you aren't a priority. PERIOD.

You’re right. Videos are there, just not communicated very well and a few missed early season. The difference appears in how it’s managed. Gold team has it, whether included in fees or however it is communicated. Navy team parents have to handle it/get team manager to do it because club/coach isn’t doing their part/job.

Jordan/Pippen is a little different than youth soccer gold/navy. Teams pay the same amount to be in the same league and even play each other for much less overall support/coaching/development. You are 100% correct that if you arent on gold team, you arent important. theres plenty of other kids/parents willing to jump and take that spot when you leave.

Having been a team manager before (not at Tophat) I can say that a lot of things seem to be dependent on strong TM. One thing I have found out regardless of club is that the only person that is looking out for your kid is you! I hate to say that as I wish it wasn't true!

Agree that tryouts will be crazy. But I’m confused why anyone would leave NTH to SSA? NTH Navy players may choose to leave TH for SSA because they don’t get any of the benefits the gold team gets...pay same dues, get less training, no recorded games, no heart rate/fitness monitors, lesser hotels, etc. I wouldn’t be too quick to say they’ll be dispersing to SSA! All the changes are good for kids and parents but so far the winning club in all this appears to be CF.
