I think they are referring to the fact that “open season for recruitment” has begun, which it has.. I’m aware of a handful of kids/parents already making moves. Each of which is a unique situation but aren’t they all!

So who is doing the said recruiting? I don’t believe coaches can openly go up to other players. If I am U12 at GSA do I go to U12 parents on other teams throughout the spring season and tell them to come to my tryouts? Pretty sure nobody has that kind a pull to tell a family to come to a tryout that they would be given a spot. Nothing stopping a GSA coach from going and openly recruiting a player at Inter Atlanta, or All In FC. Gsa is USClub and the other two are GASoccer and abide by different rules. The split allows for a lot of mid year recruitment.

The split allows for a lot of mid year recruitment. Some clubs have their older teams in US Club and their younger ones in Georgia Soccer. That makes it more confusing. And if anyone doesn't think people recruit U11 and under they are kidding themselves

Players actively recruit players from other clubs. The players know by u13/u14 who the best players are in the state. They've been playing against each other for years. This happens a lot.
