Does anyone know anything about this team? Would this be one of the top teams in comparison to the other clubs for a U15 to commit to?

CF has a first and a second team in ECNL, so make sure you understand which one you are getting the offer from. Regardless both teams finished poorly last season, in 7th and 8th place in the standings. The Platinum team has some strong players and could be a good team to play on at U15, but GSA, NASA, and UFA are all better in the 2007 age group.

Isn't CF recruiting a ton of offensive players from Concorde North?

I hear GSA will be losing their best players to AU, so standings may look different next year.

I think you’ll see NASA, CF Plat., & UFA at the top of the boys ECNL U15 table next year with GSA retaining enough talent to be in the mix.

I hear CF is bringing in an entire team from DDY at that age group.

I know of 2 players moving to ATL from GSA. They did well enough to attract more talent to fill the gaps and should be competitive (never really know what's going to happen though I suppose).
Heard a CF parent saying the North Elite Team in SCCL will be sending 6 players to their ECNL teams.

Who knows what will happen with CF u15. There are strong kids across both teams — according to the ECNL site, Premier drew and beat Platinum and from what I've been told should have won both games. Also, if the forum is correct, Platinum's better spring showing had a lot to do with bringing in trap players. There will be a lot of movement across that age group between current Platinum and Premier players, North, Red Star (maybe), and outside players. AND, I would add, several of the current Platinum players have been working out with GSA.

Have seen a number of CF U15 ECNL kids at ID camps and invite trainings with other ECNL programs. Wonder what is going on with CF. Are they getting a lot stronger and the reserve kids are looking for a place to land, or are their top players leaving?

CF players are looking because an entire team is being brought in from DDY for ECNL Premier. That means an entire team of players either has to make platinum, find another club, or move down to regional.

Hence why no club should be allowed 2 teams.

Is that the DDY team that couldn’t take anyone’s spot on a summer roster that doesn’t mean anything? Same team that was having its butt handled to them at the 07 “clinic”? That’s the team CF is “bringing in” as Premier?

No club is going to take an entire team from another club. If many are trying out, the truth will be somewhere in between 0 players and the entire team. It going to be crazy with 4 teams up for grabs between ECNL and ECRL and more folks leaving GA soccer.

It would make more sense if they were a dominant team at their current level (ga soccer gpl)— but they aren’t. There are good players on every team out there that can play at the highest levels but that whole team isn’t that.

Happened to them last year. Happening to 07s this year.

Happened to them last year. Happening to 07s this year. I know that team. They had real success in ga soccer. Earned a spot in the national league and had success there. Came over as a whole team - with their coach - and took a vacant spot in an age group that needed them. Their national league success didn’t translate in ECNL. That 07 DDY team isn’t those u17s. Never had the same success, beat up and down the field by current Concorde 07s, and that’s not an age group that is lacking for depth. Whatever DDY is selling, I would not be so quick to buy. That team isn’t going to be dropped into ECNL. Also - isn’t that age group bringing in a new coach from outside the state (it’s been posted on this forum)? That coach may have some say in picking the team.

CF Premier should have spots b/c they are moving quite a few for Platinum but whole team? Not buying that at all

Nothing prompts looking around like a mid to lower table finish and a CF focus on improving those two 07 teams.

This makes no sense what so ever. DDY 07 Team would make a good SCCL Club addition but not ECNL. They are not better than Concorde North SCCL.
The Concorde North team put immense pressure on their club to try and get an ECNL spot and are much better than the DDY team. So they will end up with an ECNL Regional spot with DDY getting an ECNL spot? where is the source of this info? I would be pretty upset if I was with Concorde. Also, my son's 07 SCCL Club coach got a phone call saying two kids from DDY wanted to move over to our team while another one of their players is moving. Is it possible they are bringing in DDY to SCCL Club or ECNL Regional? or someone got DDY confused with a KSA? Something just doesn't add up.

You asked why so many Concorde ECNL players were trying out at other clubs. This was the information that I was told. By the time it got to me, it was probably third or fourth hand. Believe it or don’t believe it. It is your choice. You are trying to apply rational thought to youth soccer. Those two things are normally mutually exclusive. Normally it is about the money, not logic.

I’ll agree with you on one thing though, it’s definitely about money.

The GSA 07 team will be very different next year. I've heard of a lot of movement recently.
Couple to ATL, couple moving because they're not happy with the coach (think they're playing the wrong position, not enough, etc.), new faces coming over to the team because they did well.
Should be interesting.
