DPL and ECRL should be roughly equivalent (2nd team or 4th team). From the results from last weekend, it seems to bear this out. ECNL/GA are tier 1, DPL/ECRL/NL are tier 2, SCCL/GPL are tier 3. There will be teams who are above and below their respective level, but that's normal.
I didn't look at all the results, but in our 06 age group it appears SSA got richer for their GA team and CF ECNL Premier got weaker (as did CF ECRL Platinum). The 06 CF ECNL Premier team lost to UFA's ECRL team.

Sounds about right on the girls side. However, I suspect there is a good bit of gray area between lower level Tier 1 teams and Upper level Tier 2 teams. This has been the case in the past. Probably same for tier 2 and 3 as well. Hopefully, we will begin to see club placement evolve into a club promotion relegation system. In ECNL I feel like there is already some pressure on clubs fielding multiple teams in Tier 1 to hold their spot.

Has anyone had conversation or received communication from club or coaches in regards to top ECRL teams being promoted to ECNL, for example to compete in say a Dec or Jan Showcase?

ECRL has their own part of the Jan Florida ECNL showcase now. As for Dec, I suspect there would be an application process to play in that SC showcase (SCCL teams have played in it in the past I believe).

Except U15 ECRL teams (2007's this year) aren't playing in that Florida showcase. Only U16 and older. Grrrr.

A few of the Columbus girls went to the Premier team…probably the aggressive ones. Typical big club picking the best from the satellite location. The ECNL Premier team in Atlanta? If so, that's a 2.5-3 hour drive ... one way ... Yes, correct (Concorde Central). No way I would do that but to each their own!

There were a few questionable bracket placements at CF tourney. I think some GA teams were playing in 2nd/3rd bracket. 1st bracket should be ECNL/GA (including ECNL age group play-ups and some brave 2nd tier teams), 2nd bracket ECRL/DPL/NL, 3rd bracket SCCL/GPL, etc. I agree . But we competed very well as a NL team and 5 days of practice with a team with 6 new players. Lost to CF ecnl Premiere 3-1 and it was 1-1 half Lost 2-0 to GSA ecnl Lost 1-0 to AFC GAL Sure , they may have missed some players it I’ll argue and offset that by saying we were never fully together until Tuesday of the tourney . The week before we were about 60% a day because of church camps , vacations , etc.
