I didn’t realize Zeke is out of contract in December. Wonder if AU will strike while then iron is.. uh.. warm I also thought he was a “young DP” or some such Garber-ism. Guess not.

This forum seems dead as there is very little active threads. With spring soccer getting started it would seem there would be more.
Florida soccer forum is always active...it seems.

Well little kids' spring soccer will start in a few weeks. Older kids are trying out for high school just now. But right now some places are a mess with multiple kids out sick. I was surprised to see little bragging or trash talking last week with the ECNL showcase, but who knows? Many people have a lot on their minds right now. I know I did the last two weeks.

How about MLS draft? USMNT? USWNT? MLS Next? ECNL Showcases? ODP? Lots to talk about. Maybe it will pick up...used to be great conversation and banter!

How about MLS draft? USMNT? USWNT? MLS Next? ECNL Showcases? ODP? Lots to talk about. Maybe it will pick up...used to be great conversation and banter! MLS draft is a livestock sale just like every “draft”. You know it is a really screwed up system (in every domestic pro sport) when the top player gets the privilege of being signed by the most abysmal team. I love soccer and have tried to watch MLS for years but the current configuration seems determined to remain barely relevant. We live in a land of stifled opportunity.. all for the benefit of a handful. MNT have a huge and critical year ahead with a WC. I hope they schedule some friendlies against teams outside of Concacaf. WNT is between WC cycles and in the midst of a generation change; the domestic pro league is running on fumes while the rest of the world is advancing the Womens pro game. It’s been speculated for several years that the US women will no longer be dominant but they’ve proven to be pretty resilient thus far. I’m an emeritus member now with respect to youth soccer so I’ve got nothing for the last topics. Hopefully I’ll soon be a good enough referee to request the high level games - regardless it’s fun to keep in touch with the community.

How true is it that the AU U18/19s are pretty much done for the year, only training and friendlies remain 😨 can they at least play for their high school?

Sounds like the Atlanta United Training Grounds is being used by two of our very own US-WNT players to stay in shape. They have been plying their skills training with the fairer sex 🤭 Who do you ask? Well one of them is a local Gurl done good from Marietta and the other is fond of a World Series winning SS 🙂🙃🙂

Wasn’t one of these young ladies spotted out at a NASA park training some time ago? Guess when you get a ring, your training facility is upgraded? It’s always a lose/lose situation for men playing women. You are a fool to believe these dudes are going full throttle on these gals like they would a dude. Women will say seee girls are even better than boys are but they whine/lose their minds when trans enter girls competitions and win.

Okay, not what I was going for, kind of a visceral response, but I'm going to take a gander and presume this comment is from your previous experience with others and does not refer to me other than the coincidence of me belonging to the same sex. Okay good, moving on... p.s. for the record, lots of female YNT Players train with the lads and at the Atlanta United Complex spanning a few age groups...

Atlanta United will play a friendly game in Athens at the University of Georgia’s Turner Soccer Complex, club President Darren Eales said Wednesday. “Sort of hope some of the success they had last season is going to rub off on us so this year,” Eales said of the college football national champs. Details on the game in Athens and the kit launch will be announced later. Tickets will be sold for the game in Athens. “We’re excited about playing there and just having a chance to meet our supporters where they are,” he said.
Eales said he hopes the team’s exhibition schedule will be ready to be released Friday...

Mallory Pugh and Emily Sonnett trained at NASA Tophat a number of times on the turf field, a number of local products were out there too including Andrew Carleton and several older Atlanta United Academy Players.

Always been a Pugh fan, want her to be successful on the national team for sure.
crazy looking at the google map satellite view of sanford stadium, how tight those corners of the endzone really are. If you shortened the field by a few yards on each endline, It's possible you could squeeze it in.
do it - federal law requires it if you have a professional soccer mls team and national championship winning football team in the same state. Its a new law if anyone was wondering

They took pieces of the original hedges to grow the current hedges.

About a week later and apparently Darren Eales and Carlos Bocanegra are on a south American fishing trip and things are developing. I won’t be sad to see Barco move along - I’m sure AU is disappointed he didn’t turn into the next big transfer fee. Tremendously skilled player who produced sparks of genius.. but also a lot of poor decisions and a well earned reputation as a flopper. Victim of unrealistic expectations, perhaps.
