Actually, for youth soccer, and especially ECNL, there is a lot you can do to manage not only THAT player, but also the remaining players, the coaches, the parents and the game. And if you effectively manage that player and contain his toxicity to just him, you get through the game with minimal cards and maybe he even makes it through the match himself.
Again, four red cards including two for double cautions raise red flags to me about that center referee’s ability to effectively manage games at the level where it happened. That doesn’t mean that the cards were not deserved, just that when looking at games like this you can usually look back and find issues that the referee didn’t effectively manage which then grow into bigger issues that then have to be addressed.
The problem with ECNL is that unlike the old DA, referees rarely get any formal or informal feedback on these matches from assessors and mentors.

Been doing this 30+ years. Every now and then, there is an outlier that doesn't respond to any of the normal management techniques, leaving no choice but to send off. Some kid pissed off because his girlfriend broke up or his dad yelled at him or whatever. Comes out like a nut job and won't listen to anyone... Agree fully that MOST games with multiple cards - that's on the referee.

GA soccer had a good weekend against SC soccer. NTH-NASA boys ECNL U13-19 played both South Carolina United and CESA to a total result of 9 wins, 1 loss and 2 draws.

Maybe the strangest post ever (being kind). Gamesofthrow-ins, you mean a guy who plays professional soccer for Nashville was In Nashville watching a youth team from Nashville play soccer but was secretly there to watch NASA? If you wanted to just say that NASA won today just say it. Lol

Maybe he knows some players? Who knows? Personally I did not take this as a brag post. Results are posted on the ECNL app whatever the outcome. Pretty cool that he was at a youth game and even spoke with a Georgia team. I am sure he did the same with TN.

I don’t know any more than this, but he interacted with the NASA U19 team which was great and yes they won.

Lighten up, Francis. It’s just a comment on how it’s nice to see MLS players out supporting soccer and how the players love that sort of thing. I see it all the time in soccer but in this case it was really cool because Hany is Golden Boot winner and probable MLS MVP. I just mentioned the score because it takes several days for ECNL to catch up with the action and post the scores.

Besides Alec Kahn not sure if I’ve ever seen an Atlanta United player at a youth soccer game not involving Atlanta United.

Josef Martinez was at the Ambush junior Academy opening night a couple of months ago. I think he's a friend of a coach or parent, not sure which. He was super nice, watching games and taking pics, signing autographs. Besides Alec Kahn not sure if I’ve ever seen an Atlanta United player at a youth soccer game not involving Atlanta United.
