Rumors are rumors… You would think that playing in GA, TH wouldn’t have any college commits/signings at all. However, their college commits are on par with all the ECNL Atlanta clubs if not better. However, you'll play mediocre competition all season and will have to travel far just to play equal or better competition. Who wants to blow out every team that they play? It would be much more insightful of the data was more recent because there's been several transfer portal changes that make it more popular recently.
It would also be nice if you could break out transfers by D1 D2 D3 etc.
My bet is that leagues like ECNL/GA and clubs with connections get a lot of players into D1 that aren't really the best of the best. Just the best of those that can afford to play high level club soccer.

Once they have enough top clubs with 2 GA teams all they have to do is make the top team NWSL Next and the other stays GA. This would also give ECNL clubs an instant way to get involved. Their ECNL team would become NWSL Next and the ECRL team would become GA. |

Vernon Sport Club Anybody familiar with any of the new GA clubs? The best way to get a picture of what the new GA clubs are like is to look where their teams are currently listed on the rankings app. From what I can see a few are good, some are decent, and some a marginal. GA is bringing on many new and up and coming clubs vs ECNL who has been focusing on established clubs. It will be interesting to see if the new and up and coming clubs do well in GA or if they just become speedbumps for better established GA clubs. I think about 20% of the up and coming clubs will do well in GA and 80% will do poorly. When this happens will GA cut the fat and drop non performers? Remains to be seen. |

The whole thread about which invite-not-merit youth soccer league is inviting more clubs is absurd to me. As absurd as parents with hats or shirts with their child's league on it.
The meme with Rob Lowe wearing the NFL hat comes to mind. It is laughable. What person wears an "NHL" visor? Or an "MLB shirt? Or even a "Bundesliga" hat?
I guess it's comparable to country club activities like golf, I see plenty of men wearing "PGA" shirts. Is it a sign of wannabe status?

I found this interesting. This is the breakdown for the current 2025 Graduates who have committed so far and specifically for Division 1 What I find shocking on this is the "International" is only at 36??? That makes NO sense. They are everywhere in D1 soccer. Hmmmm.... |

But, it's getting to the point where if you want to play at the highest levels eventually players have to get involved with letter leagues.
