I have to agree with both points... I think she's right on somethings and just put stuff out there, but I want to see her get her hat handed to her. Or she's playing the ultimate mind game. Bipolar much??

Not to be a spoil-sport but any email to a league admin now is likely to be lost in the shuffle - They are working on all the items that are necessary for tryouts and team acceptances (Academy starts this week...)
So anything not related to that kind of activity may be put on the ever growing To-Do list...

My kid lives this. Smart / technical. Few mistakes, seldom loses the ball. Receives and passes with both feet. Completely not flashy and very consistent. Not 'all over the place' - always in the place he's supposed to be and able to read plays. Hustles when necessary. I feel he is doomed against the mentality you are discussing.

My kids only like Nike. One is experiencing the joy of Osgood-Schlatter right now. He's grown 5 - 6" since the beginning of the Fall '14 season. Everything hurts. Feet / knees / legs. He's just about as tall as I am now. He's an eating and sleeping machine. :-)
His feet have grown 2 sizes since that time as well. My daughter has wide feet but "fortunately" for her she wears men's cleats - she's a women's 11. They don't make a lot in that size and with the width she needs we just go to the men's dept.
And with 2 kids in adult sizes - CHA CHING.

I found myself going back to my rec coaching days - screaming to motivate movement (at my computer as I was watching online). I have to agree with Zizou - they looked like a U14 team. Reacting instead of being proactive and generally not first to the ball ever. It was disheartening.
And my mantra - when Rapinoe is on the field - GOOD THINGS HAPPEN!

I have to figure out which field to walk around - I'm leaning towards my son's tryout since I have missed EVERYONE of his. It's my husband's turn to take my daughter!

That team just won President's Cup and has players also participating in State Cup. I bet with all the fun roster juggling they have to do it was just easier to forfeit.

..... But yeah whether the team level is designated by a color, a number or a name, up through Academy, it's hard to figure out the top team d'jour at any club unless you've been around them a while. Must be pain in the butt for tournament seeders It is.

rifle - I just looked at my phone to makes sure but this thread covers last weekend and this weekend - That message about Norcross was from last weekend. Norcross was closed today (4/25), although, depending upon which way the next wave of storms goes, it could just seal the fate for this weekend as well. My son's team will play more weeknight games this season than weekend games! Allen Creek being closed so much is amazing. That place drains the best of the grass fields.

Real issue is the storms are heading through our area at the time the academy kids play. Later in the afternoon the models show clear. But how much rain will this line of strong storms dump in their brief presence?

Let's hope the models are VERY wrong.

BOOOOO. 80+% chance of rain Saturday depending upon which service you listen to... This is quite old. Are we in Seattle? No, we are not in Seattle. They get about 35" of precipitation annually, ATL gets about 50". Seattle gets a bad rap. Ooops... (where's the embarrassed smiley?)

We got very lucky. The TM from our Saturday opponent pulled through with a turf field. Nice day for a game. Sunday games (we had a double header) have to reschedule 1 but the second we found a turf field and a ref crew and it was a GORGEOUS evening for a game. Other that turf this spring I don't know how anyone is playing anywhere. Our DOC took pictures of our "grass" field Sunday midday. Standing water everywhere. And that was after the rain had stopped. Perhaps a new form of soccer - water polo inspired...
