ECRL is coming because ECNL wants it. Plus I doubt ECNL give SCCL any choice when they go to AFU, GSA, CF and UFA and tell them they need to send second teams into ECRL or risk losing ECNL. Think NASATophat doesn’t jump at the chance at sending their boys 2nd team and 3rd/4th girls team to ECRL. Imagine SSA having a branch play GAL and one playing ECRL. I know SSA Northside would jump at sending their top teams to ECRL while SSA Blue/Black build those GAL and DPL teams.
Don’t think Santos, Ambush, Rush, Inter, Athens, or these other clubs that want a solid spot for their top or second team (to NLP) in ECRL as ECRL applications are open to individual teams, boys or girls, or the entire club.
Covid slowed things down but I wouldn’t be surprised if this news drops in April.

is Impact connected with the old Cherokee club? Very hard to keep up... Cherokee County Soccer Association became Cherokee Soccer Association which ran the Redwings and Knights select programs. Then rebranded to become Cherokee Impact and now Georgia Impact. Alex Pama and Shane Moore have been running the club for nearly 20 years.

Your logic is sound except this is America where we let our elitist groups like USSoccer and the NCAA run their pseudo slavery schemes. The NCAA has an argument to restrict scholarship player movement because the schools have paid tuition, room, board, etc for the player and have invested money in the player’s training. Club soccer has no such argument. Everything is being paid for by the parent. You still sign the same paperwork that says they do though. Don’t like it, don’t play.

In my opinion, as a parent, you can reach out to a club any time you please. Clubs are a paid service provider. Just like AT&T cannot prevent you from calling Comcast or Verizon, a club cannot restrict you from talking to another club. I pay a club (alot of money) to train my kid and provide games for them to play in. Unless you are playing for free at Atlanta United or on a scholarship at club, the clubs do not have an ownership interest in my child. As long as I fulfill my financial obligation to the club, I can reach out to any club I want at any time. Your logic is sound except this is America where we let our elitist groups like USSoccer and the NCAA run their pseudo slavery schemes.

Anything to be made of the fact that Laszlo Halmi, who currently has 2 ENCL teams, is not on the list of coaches? I think with him taking over the USL Boys Academy team it was too much of a conflict.

Didn’t Winter sports get a two week delay to starting due to Covid, so they’re 2 weeks behind normal.
Yes high school sports have been adding more and more games ($$$) to their schedules the last 20 years so playoffs run into other seasons. Ten month school year can only be split into football (5 months), basketball (3 months) and everything else ( 2 months).

Florida soccer is going full speed ahead now if it were Disneyland that would be a different story. Directly answering your question I have no idea but would be shocked if it were canceled. Agree-our club will play next weekend in Destin. For Battle by the Beach? Would love to hear how that goes for you all. Destin and the gulf have been on that list of possible tournaments. Lots of great teams and different competition down there.

No I watch, I just don’t watch crap teams. #CTID please read into the sarcasm, or go away…. My apologies I didn't catch that, usually sarcasm has some form of truth to it. All truth in it. United is a crap team and doubt they finish in the top five. Plus Pogba is still regretting the move back. He’s just counting his days til this summers transfer window.

Did you reach out to NASA management? They may be able to put some pressure on your vendor to get them out to you quicker then June, or give you another adidas option.

This is quoted from the SCCL website and came out back in January. “The SCCL, a leading youth soccer league in Georgia, is excited to announce the creation of the Super Club which will compete in the SCCL Club based division starting in the fall of 2021. The winner of each SCCL Premier 1 male and female U13-U17 leagues will be promoted to the Super Club to compete in the highest level of the SCCL in the SCCL Club division (U14-U18) next fall. Reflecting the growth and increasing strength of the SCCL platform we feel the additional promotion based on performance will enhance the development of the league and its players. The results from the Fall 2020 season will be used to form the Super Club in ages U13-U18 for the Fall 2021 season. With the addition of the newly formed program, clubs will be able to manage a pathway for their players to compete at the highest level of the SCCL.” southeasternccl.com/sccl-announces-the-creation-of-a-new-club-based-opportunity/

I'm starting to see an increase in ACL injuries amongst our female soccer players and I'm wondering if there is really an opportunity through PT to prevent them. In the past month I've personally known at least 6 girls in varying age groups from U12 to u17 who has suffered a tear not only with their ACL but MCL as well. Would love to get some thoughts from parents or coaches if there is any real way to train to prevent these. It hurts me to hear about these injuries especially during a crucial year and there has to be something that could help to prevent them. I know that many of these injuries have happened during HS soccer games which is why DA prohibited them in the past but why is it more prevalent during the high school games? From my experience the reason I’ve seen and heard so many happening in Hs games and practices is due to bad coaching. So many Hs “coaches” want to work the players for 2+ hours everyday and often don’t build in quality stretching and proper warmups. All of this typically after long and intense club seasons. If the Hs coach isn’t spending at least 30 minutes on stretching and proper warmup then you’re just asking for injuries. Add in those coaches don’t plan appropriate recovery sessions for the days after games, or give players proper recovery time off to allow their bodies to rest. GHSA and Hs sports should really look to limit the amount of hours students are allowed to spend on sports each week like the ncaa does. Something like 7 hours max per week which would include the 2 hours for each game they dress for.

yet they are still paying Guzan big money when it comes to mls dollors. Is he worth 7 to 8 times that of Kann? Have said this since the first day they brought in the bald headed butterfingers. Alec is equal if not better quality and considerably cheaper. Plus as a hometown hero had more potential selling jerseys / whatnot if they gave him the #1.

AFC Lightning will also have their second teams in DPL in the Fall and will not have NPL teams.. The current NPL teams (top) will be in the GA going forward and the second teams will do DPL.. The age groups that have 3rd or 4th teams will stay in Georgia Soccer.. Hope they are able to recruit some players or I fear their top 2 teams in most age groups will have a rough go of it..time will tell... WAIT WHAT? SSA won't be in NPL AFC won't be in NPL SO ... Where is UFA sending their NPL teams? Alabama and Tennessee, with possibly some new Carolina clubs too. Or they’ll be combine with Northern FL. I know those UFA parents are demanding to spend money like ECNL parents so by playing in FL every other weekend.

Mmmm yes a capitalist world… One league = socialism winning Very far from being a socialist but when you have four or five leagues competing for the top do you ever really match up best talent to best talent? If you have a child who can make any team and you live in an area that had all the leagues at your disposal which league would you pick? E C N L All day everyday….

Well SSA just put out a new pyramid for them with their WPSL pro team at the top, then GAL, then South Atlantic NPL, then SCCL.
So looks like NPL will stick around in Atlanta but get more watered down from SSA and AFC Lightning.
Would be interesting to see if any other non ECNL and GAL clubs look to join NPL. Would be a great addition for Santos or Rush from SCCL, and Impact or Inter Atlanta.

Yes they do, recently tried to regain entry. Devils advocate: if they were approved, would they make ECNL tops and move down GAL? Should clubs looking to join GAL be weary that even with a commanding foothold in GAL they are still surreptitiously trying to claw their way back into ECNL? With the addition of clubs like SSA, AFC, Surf and Palm Beach, does the unnamed team keep the top team and the lesser 2nd team in GAL or do those players tire of playing 2nd fiddle move to assume the mantle at one of the new clubs...? p.s. With SSA getting a spot in GAL, how does that gel with their pending WPSL expansion - www.ssaelite.com/Default.aspx?tabid=668080Until I am blue in the face I will continue saying that this is just a money grab clout chasing move to create a new league. If US soccer gave a s**t about kids they would have one league in which all the top teams played. That’s not the case it’s all about money. Mmmm yes a capitalist world… One league = socialism winning

At every ECNL match and tournament the team is called “Concorde” Premier, that doesn’t sound like kindness? or failure?. Top clubs offering high level competition achieve depth every June during tryouts. Not sure how knowledgeable you are of years past soccer in the area but Concorde tried to field two ECNL teams in the beginning years when they were granted two teams. Their second teams were all at the bottom of the standings. Some never won a game. They "failed" to provide two competitive teams in ECNL. That is what prompted the Concorde SSA alliance for ECNL. Concorde needed SSA and SSA needed Concorde. That is why I said it wasn't out of the kindness of Concorde's heart to offer access to SSA for their ECNL spot. Concorde couldn't do it by themselves. Concorde was awarded the spot from ECNL not SSA so they had to use the Concorde name. That has nothing to do with anything. Most clubs in the country can't field two ECNL teams successfully so it is not out of the norm for Concorde not to be able to do it either. I get your point, but the soccer landscape has drastically changed in the last 5 years since then. ECNL, especially the boys side, has become very watered down with the addition of so many new clubs and “top” leagues. If the Ga / Fl division split does come so will the Girls side. So you’re telling me a player at Santos or Rush who was playing NL Piedmont and then dropped to SCCL wouldn’t try to go jump ship to CF for ECNL? Same for say a group of players that have bounced from UFA to All In? Isn’t there supposedly an entire AFU ECNL team ready leave? What happens to UFAs NPL team if NPL folds in Atlanta due to GAL, those players okay dropping to SCCL?

C'mon roki12, everone "knows" why TH won't get in anytime soon. I'm sure if you ask around there will be plenty of people that can fill you in.....As a matter of fact, you should start with the TH DOC. I have heard that it because the TH DOC is a di*k head, but seriously? Is that it? Both sides need to get over their egos. If TH has been “begging” it seems to me they are acknowledging they were wrong. One, if NTH really is “begging” to get back into ECNL then they need to change up their leadership at the top because he’s part of the problem. Two, is NTH putting in their first or second team into ECNL? If it’s not their first team like everyone else then that right there is a major reason to deny entry. Either be all in, or not in at all.

AFC lightning made the announcement about GAL too. So is this the end of NPL for both Boys and Girls? What will UFA do? If the boys side folds, how many UFA NPL players look to jump ship to NASA and AFU ECNL? I mean wouldn’t most UFA NPL teams easily compete with AFU’s ECNL boys? GAL is just for the girls. Lightning is going to get murdered in the GA league ... they should have just switched to NL. I get that it’s just Girls, but are these clubs now pushing the NPL teams down a level? Is NPL at SSA & Afc Lighting now 2nd to GAL but above SCCL/NLP? Or are they pulling out of NPL all together.

But very unlikely Concorde can field a competitive 2nd team... Are you serious? With another year of SCCL down, and real tryouts theyll be plenty of players looking to get off of a top SCCL team and move up to ecnl. Or all those unhappy Inter Atlanta parents about all the travel from NL Piedmont and the chaos down there.

Love seeing the pics from Inter Atlanta and Cherokee Impact teams that were up there at Allen Creek this morning with the 2-3 inches of snow on the fields.
Did someone think they were going to shovel the snow off the fields and get the games in??
From what I saw that’s all they needed to do at 8:00am before all that started to melt and then I’m sure the fields would have been okay-ish. Though this is what Lanier and these early Feb tournaments look like. Can anyone remember Lanier actually getting this event in 2 years in a row?
Remember the “snow” storm that hit SSA last year at this time too? That was a disaster too.
Stop signing up and playing in these events if you can’t deal with the weather, remember you are the customer and have the checkbook. 😂

So what’s the top team now at SSA?? GAL or the ENCL alliance?
Will any girls 07 or older leave the CF/ECNL to play GAL at SSA?
So many questions. So little answers. When will the shiny new toy stop?
Confused? You won't be after this week's episode of Soap.
