Great 2nd half for UFA Down 2-0 at half. 3-2 win. It didn’t look good at all going into half time. Kudos to Coach and the players for keeping composure and fighting to win! I hope Atlanta United doesn’t try to steal Coach Dixon from UFA. I hope that my son will be able to play for him some day!

watched the UFA U16/17 game which came down to a shot hitting off the far post and curling in for a 3-2 score at the 89:30ish mark ... differently player endurance, team ball movement, possession and team positioning seemed to be tested on first day.
A lack of player discipline and control of the bench resulted in a yellow card after the winning goal was scored..
Clean it up, DA is suppose to be the best so play like it.

They played their style in the 2nd - possession, patience and dominant play from AP in the middle.
Night and day from first half - huge huge win.

Always a plus when a reserve player is subbed in and scores the winning goal

Great 2nd half for UFA Down 2-0 at half. 3-2 win. It was 1-2 at half. Coach Dixon’s adjustments actually started earlier—on the video you can hear him really coaching (not screaming or denigrating, but encouraging and guiding). He continues to amaze me. You have to credit the kids, too. Every kid played their hearts out. The substitutes didn’t sulk about not starting—instead they worked their butts off and won the game. Coach Dixon and the club have created a great environment for these young men.

When’s the next games for the u16/17 so we can follow along on their progression?
They sure do have a few tall players that uses their bodies well

I thought that was a great come back game to watch and root for a Georgia team. My kids enjoyed the game and thought it was a very physical game! Bench player who got the winning goal deserved the celebration, even ref was smiling handing the yellow

Do watch the game in youtube to see for yourself... The yellow Card was given for the player removing his jersey during the excessive celebration hence the lack of self Discipline.

Found it www.ussoccerda.com/2019_summer_showcaseWish we could watch all these games. Tough loss for UFA on paper. Will need to get a big win and SKC to beat the strikers then it comes down to tie breaker rules. AUs 17s and 19s are both bottom of their groups Concordes 17s with a win against Chicago will advance. Concorde is currently tied with them a top their group.

Very interesting note also - I’m pretty sure all the u17s play there 3rd games tomorrow and this can easily change —— But many teams at the top of each group are Non-MLS clubs!
Let’s see if it stays that way - 3rd games will determine many of the group winners

That may be true, but you need to realize what the rosters are for those MLS Academies. A lot of them are playing the younger kids. Example the teams playing u16/17 are playing a lot of 03's. A lot of their best kids are playing up an age group. The non-mls academies for the most part are playing age appropriate. If you look at the game reports, you will see at the u16/17 level the non-mls academies are playing mostly 02's if not all 02's. Devil is in the details.

Yes, agreed with the age of players, but what about the number of players non-MLS clubs have to choose from? They still do a great job considering the amount of time and $$$ involved. IMO, a lot more players would show up to tryouts if they advertised DA teams are paid for. Maybe non-MLS clubs should consider this??? Unfortunately, the $$$ would come from lower teams from the club. Pay to play hurts in a lot of ways.

Surely at UFA, where they charge roughly $500 more for equivalent teams (SCCL for example) than AFU and GSA, this should be doable?

All the UFA hype and in the end its Concorde that gets out of a group with Philadelphia Union, NYCFC and Chicago Fire. Great job by those guys
