I could see the level for which Classic for a good while but it vanished (didn't change) a couple of days ago

Some inside info - plan is to release brackets this evening with game pairings going to the schedulers at that time. Several divisions have completed their pairings already (no, I can't see them). I do know of two teams who are complaining about their placement - one too high, the other too low. It will be interesting to see if the AGC's will agree to make changes at this point. I know one of them has already done the pairings for that age group. And there's part of the reason for delays... On the good side of it, the expected public schedule release date is 8/18! (four days before the currently advertised date) OK - I have to ask this - what the heck happened with the SSA 00 Girls Elite team? They're playing Athena A in U16 now? So will they play state cup with the 15's or the 16's. And what on earth is the reason they are or want to play up an age bracket? They didn't exactly tear up our own age group in Spring? I saw some stuff about this on the other forum but would rather ask here - anyone got the insight on this situation? |

Interesting new twist on the schedules - they will be made public (or at least to coaches & managers) later today, but the field schedulers will not be able to put in times and fields. Coaches will have until early next week to check for errors - two games in a day, wrong home/away (we went there last season, they should come to us this season) or blackout dates not honored. After that, they will be opened to the field schedulers to put in the times and fields.
Kind of makes sense this way so that the field schedulers don't have to do double work when errors are spotted after they've done their part. By the end of next week everyone will know what days and where they play, weather permitting. You might not know the time, but at least you'll have something to plan around.
My big appeal to the parents/players - If you see that you are playing some time on October when your class is going on a big weekend field trip, please let your coach know NOW so he can do something about it. This is one of my pet peeves, telling the coach on Thursday that you won't be at Saturday's game because of a school event which you knew about months in advance.

U14 Classic I is the first one up for public view! No times/fields, only the dates and home/away pairings.

thanks dreaddy, i can see our teams in the affinity system. only 11 teams in u14 athena a, so pretty much just sat games, with one game every weekend until nov 15. |

Our u14 team's up there now as well. They've got 3 Sat/Sun game weekends but travel is non-existent for the Fall! Furthest they travel is to Griffin. Of course, we'll pay for that in the Spring season. Ready for the season to start!

Our schedule is pretty full in November. Cross your fingers for no reschedules! I was hoping our games would be more spread out.

I'm impressed! First time the pairings have been out this early. Of course, they are still subject to change.
Our season is front loaded... half of our games are in September. Should help with reschedules!

I have sent all my coaches their pairings so we can start getting things right for them. Pretty difficult to be 2 places at the same time.  |
