Anyone else having trouble watching this snooze fest? I have to admit I changed the channel and started watching the corn hole championships.

David Beckham on Inter Miami’s 5th straight loss: “Sometimes the road is long and u need to take a breather .. Manchester United , Real Madrid , La Liga and the premiership wasn’t built in a day... Teams , players and clubs need time to flourish but when they do , all the hard times seem so distant... It’s important to take time to reflect on what we have achieved so far... I’m proud of my team , our club and the amazing fans that we have... Patience is a virtue #familia @intermiamicf”
Translation: Man! This sucks...

They need to get rid of the pumped d in fake fans noise especially considering they sound louder than 90% of the stadiums with fans, excluding a few rare clubs like AU

Watching United-for the first 30 minutes they look flaccid.

Well. Columbus looks pretty good. True. I guess I can follow them for the rest of the tournament...

Columbus did look great in the 1st half but we were flat and were not moving and connecting short passes. We were also holding on to the ball too long. They kept attacking there right (our left) side also.
2nd half after subs we are playing with more energy and effort.

Quote of the night-Taylor Twellman referring to Piti Martinez: “You can’t be the South American player of the year one year and now forget how to play...”

This team showed us three games in a row in the most convincing way it has serious issues everywhere on and off the field. The attitudes and the efforts of Escobar to get another yellow were telling. Something is seriously wrong and this may be going back to last year.

Going to be a long season unless we have 15 games with Inter Miami scheduled...

Quote of the night-Taylor Twellman referring to Piti Martinez: “You can’t be the South American player of the year one year and now forget how to play...” I laughed out loud when I heard that. All I know is that his attitude has been rotten from day 1. Not sure if its that he hates his team-mates, or if he is having trouble finding his groove in the new league.

The magic is fading fast with this group... Unrecognizable from years 1 and 2 when everyone bought in.

I just want to know where Darren Eales promise of exciting soccer has gone??? He said (paraphrasing) "we would at least get exciting soccer, we may lose but if we do it will be one of those 4-3 games not a 1-0 loss."
And we had that in the first two years... this, that we are watching, is not only bad soccer, it's boring as well!!
This sucks!

Eales and Bocanegra need to be held accountable for their horrific talent evaluation. Too many subpar players even by MLS standards filling spots on the roster and getting PT.
There are at least five guys playing that should be on AU2 at best

I miss Tata. Not the greatest coach on game day but, he was able to identify and attract high level talent at reasonable cost from South America due to his reputation and style of play, prepare well for game day, and put them on the right positions on the field.
Whom has FdB attracted and what's his attractive style of play Eales talks about wanting to have and compete in the Champions League (HIS words)? Or Carlos picks lately with Coach who has a say? Where do we start? Pity who cost us 15 for Miggy who cost us 8? Hyndman for Nagbe? Lennon for Gressel? Mulraney and Castillo for Garza and Ambrose? Or Meza for LGP? Or Castro for Villalba? WTF!!! Let alone the lack of energy, lack of discipline (Mulraney, Williams, or worse yet Escobar looking to get a red), lack of any defensive cohesion or commitment to do the work. Defensive transition to laugh at.
Look at LAFC without Vela and Columbus without 7(!) starters and other teams also. Or San Jose and Orlando with almost same roster! They are TEAMS. Notice that I did not mention a word about Josef (it happens) or the attacking disconnect part (which in part is understandable and expected under these conditions), or Rossetto who has barely played yet, because this would distract us from the reality on the previous paragraph. We could have at least shown some defensive qualities as a unit or some sort of improvement from game to game.
And my apologies to all for venting. Yes the MLS is tougher today than 5 years ago, we're guilty of that trend but good for the sport, I still miss our first two seasons.

I have yet to see any proof that the coach has a material say in personnel.

Translators and amateur or lower level players have turned out to be better coaches than super stars. Look at Mourinho or Klopp as players compared to Maradona and so many others. Just bc your coach played for Ajax and Barcelona doesn't mean your team will play like Ajax or Barcelona. Need a better job on research for the right coach and bring few players of his choice.

The point was that you can't take a coach for granted only based on how good he was as a player or where he's played or where he was developed. There is a "little" more to the management job than that ...

De Boer had a great run with AJAX-4 consecutive titles...but it went down hill from there. I don’t think he got time to finish a cup of coffee at Crystal Palace (10 Weeks).

I like some of the new guys (hyndman, lennon).. but so many look like they REALLY don't belong on the field.
I mean.. did Jahn even touch the ball? Can Castro hit the broad side of a barn? Does Bello know he's allowed in the defensive half? Does Escobar know he's not 4?

Ajax was his comfort zone with most players and system already in place. He has never proven his adaptability or some other stuff. And would not bring it up if it wasn't for the total disgrace of performances we have witnessed with Atlanta United. Even last year -results aside- the great performances were too few. His style is not fun to watch.

We have no punch.. nor counterpunch
