CF Premier has only scored 1 goal in their last five games, so are you assuming they parked the bus? It doesn’t matter if they did - that result has a few other teams looking forward to their own shot at AU.

Must have been the Partridge Family bus.

I’ve seen plat play a few times - just haven’t seen much soccer out of them. They could drop a game to half the teams in their conference any given game day or they could win them all if they can keep it together as a team. Looks like there are about 5 good teams in that conference, a couple of solid mid-table teams, and a few having a difficult time in the early going. (My son not on that team - just has some friends on all the Atlanta teams)

They, along with AU, are certainly the top teams until somebody shows they can beat them. Platinum still has to play AU, UFA, and Alabama twice as well as a rematch with NASA. Don’t laugh about me mentioning Alabama - #11 on that team gives them a chance against anybody.

NASA has only lost to Plat and I heard the score not reflective of the game. Since 5 teams from that conference make the playoffs, I’d have to rank the U16s this way so far: AU CF Plat NASA UFA Alabama The rest have been inconsistent or disappointing.

U19 (mix) AU vs U19 CF Premier 2-0 CF This AU team had a total different line up. Mixed it up a lot. Credit to CF played hard and both played good soccer. Several good missed chances by AU but credit to CF keeper played very well.
I think U17 (mix) AU vs U18/19 CF Plat play Sunday.
Great to see good, hard soccer. GA soccer is quality.

They haven’t played any games yet. today au play cf prem u16 & won 2-0 cf prem park da bus haha So this is am honest question to all the soccer parents out there and is not to denigrate any team...if a team parks the bus for a game against a superior opponent once or every once in a while, why is that a bad thing? It is a tactical decision executed by the players and a learning situation for all. The superior team has to break down the opponent in tight space and the inferior team has to defend their tails off (even players that usually do not do much defending). I am not saying that it is not boring or frustrating to watch. I am not saying a team should do it every game. What is the harm in doing it every once in a while? It teaches them additional soccer lessons. Most teams do it at some point at the pro and college level. Even if just to secure a win...

It’s a tactical decision. However, most of the time they are trying for nil nil. So if a squad finds ways to penetrate and break down the parking of the bus and somehow get two goals, how is that an indication that other squads will do well against said squad? I understand if they parked the bus and it was nil nil but they still scored two goals. Some squads can’t score two goals without the bus being parked.

Parking the bus is part of soccer -- you have to learn how to play against especially after you go down a goal. Playing 11 behind the ball is a tactical decision. AU should have the personal to switch the field quickly and take advantage of 1v1 situations.
Stupid question -- but why are they playing mid week games?

Should CF even have two teams in ECNL if the premier team is having such a hard time scoring? UFA and NASA only have one.

They were “on the schedule” for this past Sunday but they didn’t play. I honestly like the idea of a mid week match, under the lights, like the European tournaments. Biggest plus is you can get out of town real quick.

I concur, it's no different than trying to control the middle by playing a 3-5-2 or pushing your line of attack to the midfield. BTW IMO, if you have superior players physically, then I would push my back line to the midfield and force you to defend one v one and see if you can't break them down that way. Nevertheless, I'm hearing that some of the starters were removed at half time to give the younger 2006 players a chance and it was the "second" team that was able to find success penetrating the parked bus in the 2nd half. That is from a public post of a player but not independently verified. For those that watched the game, what say you?

A fluke? Teams don’t lose 10-1 on a fluke. The other team was obviously legitimately better. I’m not insinuating the team is bad, but the idea that this particular loss was “an unlikely chance occurrence, a surprising piece of bad luck” is a stretch. I stand by what I said. We can turn back to my comment later in the season if you'd like. Sure! I’d actually love to know the score the next tune these two teams meet.

The u19 CF Premier team is CFs 2nd team in the age group correct? Not sure it’s the ‘2nd’ team as they beat the ‘1st’ team Concorde on Sunday.. but rather it’s the SSA team.

I hope I’m not the only one emailing ECNL about their lack of response to paying customers regarding their incompetence posting scores and schedules. Do your part people! At this point we should be inundating the comments on their social media platforms to put pressure on them to prioritize fixing it.

So who plays on the SSA u19 team that tied Atlanta uniteds 19s in the first MLS next game? Was that their former NPL or SCCL team, given their former NPL team is the concorde ecnl team?

I'm correct on that right, Concordes Premier u19 team beat AU 2-0 last night? Gareth coached those teams forever, does he still?
