At what ages? And announced the day before tryouts? Seems like MLSNEXT is taking whatever they can get to fill up their schedule.

Thoughts-I think they can be competitive-but they are going to have to give paying parents a reason to keep paying. If the paying kids are getting splinters then…

It's odd that this isn't on MLS next website and no clarification on age groups, etc. The 09 (U-12) All in boys also will be in MLS next. They won the U-13 GA soccer state cup playing up an age group.
The 07 KSA Boys just beat Sudamerica for the GA State Cup. Go on GA Soccer, KSA and Sudamerica Instagram's pages to see the drama and trolling. The Sudamerica coach said the below words publicly. "Incredible performance despite playing vs 12 men today. A class act from our boys who did not play boom ball or dirty. 4 players out injured today due to the uncontrolled brutality from the opponent. In the end, we all know who the better soccer players are. Champions on my book!"

So seriously what’s the deal with many of you (Game of throw- ins, mighty dawg & a few some others)? Why all the animosity when it comes to MLS - Next? Are you parents or coaches with Concord? I don’t understand the constant belittling of another league? What - its made up of the little clubs so they are NOT worthy? You guys remind my of the “ cool” football players in high school making fun of the band members except you are grown men and not teenagers... I think 🤔 I don’t even have sons or know anymore well who plays in that league but I root for them. I just don’t get it. ... major insecurity is all that explains it. I would hope more folks on this forum would set the right message. If this forum is just for ECNL then start your own forum . BTW my kids play for top ECNL teams too but we respect everyone. When your kids sign their pro contracts message me.

Soccermom- Yeah, Sudamerica just cleared up almost all the comments because it wasn't a good look. There was more drama there than on last night's episode of 90 day Fiance after a KSA player started having some fun.

Do you know what happened when they played in the Spring as the result says Sudamerica forfeited against KSA? No, i don't keep up with their drama. I know people on that team but doubt they'd tell the truth I know KSA got in trouble before with GA Soccer for playing ineligible players And Suda got in trouble before for illegal recruiting

When your kids sign their pro contracts message me. It has nothing to do with belittling smaller clubs or another league. But there is a real issue with fracturing the pyramid and kids being siphoned off of the top stable, national, competitive platform by the disingenuous lure of a league called MLS Next when it is far from it.

‘ Game of throw-in’s’ : What does “ the real issue with fracturing the pyramid “ mean ? Why does the pyramid matter ? You think kids / families who join the MLS - Next league are being tricked into something. What are they being tricked into ? I doubt they think this means they will get a MLS contract. 95% of the kids in the MLS academies are not going to sign pro contracts, and 99.9 % of ECNL boys won’t either. Again - I just don’t get the animosity. It’s just a league name. And what’s wrong with giving kids more options. Are you a Concord Club Director?

HA .. if you look at the overall CF rankings it wouldn’t be a very good league I would put it at the bottom of the pyramid.

And nope, I’m not working for “Concord” or even Concorde Fire Either way, your username is literally “justhavefun” - so, like, maybe don’t get so defensive on a thread critiquing another new money league. Let’s just have some fun

My problem with every alphabet league is the lack of clear hierarchy.
Over several years, due to greed, the US Soccer federation has been weakened and the state association (in GA anyway) has been weakened and in turn, the clubs all have to scramble to stake their claim in a hierarchy that is blurry at best. It’s a “get what you can get” situation, rather than an organized framework and that’s a shame.

It’s a “get what you can get” situation, rather than an organized framework and that’s a shame. In a Free Market economy, like the US, there is no way to control the number of leagues and formats that develop. Capitalism at work through spontaneous and decentralized order, as individual clubs make economic decisions that are best for them. I see nothing wrong with this and IMO it’s good for youth soccer as a whole. KSA has good players, great for them. Hopefully, they will also have the integrity to field teams according to the rules but that is another topic.
