and Indy 13 didn't even play well. They honestly looked terrible most of the game, barely could complete 2 passes. AU is a dumpster fire right now. Brennan is the only player that actually played well last night. Wiley should have dominated against those stiffs. Some of those indy 14 players looked like old man and couldn't even move laterally. How do "fans" not attend that game last night? Makes no sense - place should have been packed, yet it looked like a high school game. I don't get it at all -- where were all those people that pack the Yugo Dome? Can't drive north a few miles to watch your team play? Kind of stunning. And no i'm not a fan, Deboring ruined it for me, never cared much for the team to be honest, always felt fake to me for some reason. I enjoyed watching them play, but never truly embraced them. Just always felt forced on me, not sure why. The downward spiral continues. Last nite was bad and it can't be blamed on only using HG players since we had starters from the first team. One of the goals we conceded was an own goal, and watching the buildup to that goal was painful. The level of play resembled a low-class Sunday League game with 60-year-olds needing knee replacements. I'm confident that any of our local Power 5 + 1, U16 and older boys' clubs could have done better. Here's how AU lost to the USL team with an own goal 🤯

Indy 11 vs AU 2-1...ALL THAT NEEDS SAID. Again as somebody that consumes multiple soccer games every week and spends quite a bit of time on YouTube and online.. I am surprised to have seen zero ads for this game. Missed it. Had no idea there was a game.

Hopefully one day the entire area is cleaned up a bit more. Prefer Franklin gateway to the facility, parking is a nice feature in modern day culture.
Atlanta United is printing money - terrible team on the pitch yet season tickets are going up as demand still exists. MLS is still a relatively affordable option compared to other sports.
Besides if Messi comes to town, I assume tickets are easy to be had now.
Off topic but putting the league behind a paywall to me is till problematic. I’d be pumping mls into the youth generation as much as possible, as they are the future fans. I don’t see my kids ever turning on or caring about an mls score unless mess does something cray. On top of that it’s hard to take a league serious that played during euros and copa America. At least they are taking Olympic break.

Any truth to a supporter protest tonight at the game? Rumor has it that it will be a silent protest.

It looks like the deal has been officially finalized, and he'll leave straight from the Olympics across the English Channel into Stamford Bridge in the SW6 postcode (I know he'll be on loan to Ligue 1 side Strasbourg) So happy to for Caleb and his entire family... /photo/1 To think with Atlanta, he had to travel almost 250 miles to play his closest MLS team. From the map below, he will potentially play over a dozen games intown and could actually walk the two miles to Craven Cottage. Hint: its a great part of the metropolitan London area to live...

I am very, very happy for him and his family! I hope the best for him. An American playing in England has its own set of challenges. He has worked his butt off and is now living the dream that so many others worked for. I will be rooting for him...

Happy for any kid that survives the system in the US and escapes to proper systems. It's survivorship bias to think this system doesn't ruin talent for sake of profit.
But well done young man. I'll pour one out to all the kids that never had a chance.

MLS roster money isn’t sufficient for quality defenders. If you also want offense. It’s just substandard. And any league that has parity as an objective is gonna remain substandard. civil 3d add ons I acknowledge the desire for spending limits but it’s 20 years past time to remove the training wheels. I wonder how quickly Apple will lose interest once Messi retires. sharpedgeshop.com/collections/gyuto-knives-chefs-knifeit’s tough to get quality defenders and have a solid offense with the current budget.

This may be the best news I’ve read here. They are actually leaving the MLS pasture to go compete.

Is Atlanta United still an MLS club -- wouldn't even know besides not having a coach or technical director...... no joking aside, are games being played? another international break? Seems like this league just goes on forever and ever and ever with no end in sight.

He did coach NYC-FC back before Covid. I think he left because he got a chance to coach in Ligue 1 in his home country. He also took charge of the Man City Academy. Wonder if he envisions the free flowing of true Academy Players being a part of the senior squad at AU if he takes over. Then again, it may just be about the deep pockets of AU...

This is really sad. My wife treats blood cancer patients daily at Northside. Some can beat it but odds are often quite sad. He was a fun character when AU was growing. Wish him well.

The fact that AU still has a chance despite their flaccid performances this season is in large part what makes MLS insufferable. Playoffs are a construct for sports that have TV audiences. The leagues use playoffs rather than a season long championship (where every game matters) in hopes that that the biggest TV markets have a better chance of broadcasting more games so they can sell more ads. And MLS has neither a TV audience nor advertisers so an expanded playoffs gimmick just makes the league.. …insufferable!

Atlanta United Decision Day: Saturday at Orlando City SC (6 pm ET | MLS Season Pass)
Atlanta are 12th in the Eastern Conference. To climb above the playoff line, they'll need to beat Orlando, hope D.C. or Montréal lose, and hold the goal differential tiebreaker. Anything less than that and the Five Stripes miss the playoffs for the third time in five seasons...

They should have made Friday the MLS night and play all these games on friday night. I don't think people understand the damage MLS is doing hiding behind a paywall -- unless a kid is @ a MLS academy, kids aren't watching mls - out of sight out of mind. These are your future fans.
