Any idea who the 2011 boys ECNL coaches at Concorde are? Jose is coaching the boys U13 and U14 age groups next year.

What happened to the UFA coaches projections link? They posted the link and then removed it. Did anyone get a screenshot of it? Try This Link

Have heard as well that Eddie will stay with this group and is giving up the 2010 Girls Premier team. Guess his Tophat girls weren’t as good as they thought as they finished bottom of ECNL. The former Tophat girls on that team came the third team at Tophat. I have no horse in this race, but he’s a good coach. He’s getting the very most out of that 10 Premier team. Look at their scores. There’s a ton of one goal losses. Imagine if he had them a bit longer. He’s working with, at best, 2nd and 3rd team talent. How is Eddie as a coach? Is he known for young player development? Heard he's well connected with college recruiters but that does not matter at U13-U15.

He won’t lie to you or make you promises that he can’t keep (like many other will), but he will do his best for your kid. The kids love him. I don’t know of a single parent who dislikes him as a coach either. Also, know that Eddie left Tophat last year for Concorde. For better opportunities for his own growth as a coach. He left in the correct way and let his girls know first. So whatever any tophat coach tells you about Eddie, take that with a grain of salt. If he was so bad, why did he have the GAL Navy teams in many age groups before he made his transition to Concorde.

He will bring morals that I’ve heard other Concorde coaches don’t have. Huge loss for Tophat.

He left so he could get first team opportunities. Tophat does have glass ceiling for the Gold teams. Some quality coaches that I know have also had trouble getting Navy teams or even DPL teams in the past, even when less quality people have had those teams. I am happy for Eddie that he had a top team last year and I hope that he gets what he wants for this year too. As an aside more coaches should care about having an occasional lower level team to try to develop some real diamonds in the rough. Challenge themselves a little.

Seems like Eddie made the right decision as a couple were told he will take over the 2010 Girls Platinum from Saxon. Mark Carr taking over the Premier team. So Eddie with 10 and 11 Girls ECNL Platinum in one year must mean he’s doing something right.

Perhaps, no morals isn’t the best terminology — let’s use values. I’m sure he wants to win just as much as anyone, including parents and kids. From what I know of him from TH, he is committed to developing the kids first - win second. Feedback from other Concorde parents don’t suggest that’s the case for some of the other coaches. Please note that this is opinion and feedback for the younger age groups. I have no feedback on the older U14+ coaches. I will add that not all coaches are for all kids. Do your research. Watch their games. Talk to other parents, privately. Ask friends of friends of friends….you may get more of the reality that way.

I have heard other parents speaking about this forum for "research" when looking into other clubs/teams/coaches. I wonder what will happen to all those kids who moved over for a coach, but wont be taken on the top team over kids from outside the club. Is this a re-occurring issue across the board? If so, why leave in the first place?

Morals can't be that high if he's looking to replace the majority of his 2011 side? There must be a lot of nervous players on the 2011 Concorde team.

There must be a lot of nervous players on the 2011 Concorde team. So far the only support for that comes from...you. It's tryouts for a first year select team at one of a few clubs in central Atlanta that has ECNL. I imagine anybody currently on that team would expect players from other clubs to be interested. And I would expect any coach to form the best possible team (based on whatever attributes they value) from available players. Not sure what's controversial about this.

Having seen the U12 U13 transition twice now I can guarantee that there will be many players from other clubs that are interested in joining ECNL and GA teams. They may take a few or they may take a lot of outside kids and that is normal and does not make someone immoral. It would be immoral to guarantee bubble players a spot and then renege, but replacing players with new ones is not immoral. I just think they can be kind about it and let the parents know ahead of time

Can anyone give information on Jasmin Brown for Concorde Premier and Alex Pama with UFA? Or the 2007 coaches for ECRL at UFA and Premier ECNL at Concorde. I can’t find any information to confirm who is coaching. Playing/coaching style would be so appreciated.

I can’t find any information to confirm who is coaching. Playing/coaching style would be so appreciated. We faced Alex last year in 07 ECRL. Pretty vocal/loud, team was good, not great. Have a friend whose daughter plays on team below and she likes him, as she’s trained with that team a fair amount. Jasmin is tougher to gauge. We have faced her many times and she’s always won but she’s also had a clear talent advantage. This past year she was promoted to ECNL Premier team at CF and I know the team really struggled but heard it was a toxic environment. Not necessarily reflective of her, just that they brought in a lot of new girls and it just never gelled. I think combined with the pressure of ECNL it was a rough experience for the girls on that team. I think Jasmin walked into a tough situation because she was named the coach around mid-May or so last year, which put her in a tough spot to form her team. She also coached Mt Vernon to a state title last week, first in their history if I'm not mistaken. EDIT: forgot to mention that I’m pretty sure they’re both coaching those same teams again. Both had those teams last year for the first time, so I doubt they’re changing.

I'm thinking you're here to spread fear and misinformation because your SSA girls are fleeing to other clubs for ECNL & GA opportunities. Btw, your idea of "comfortable win" is beating a team by one goal? First game was 0-1, mistake by CF goalkeeper (she's still one of the best keeper I've seen). Second game 0-1, an own goal by CF from a corner kick.

We faced one of his teams several times this year and they improved quite a bit. Don’t know Jasmin. Alex is staying with the 07 ECRL team. As an aside he coaches at Life University. Someone also told me he is a director in NAIA but I have not confirmed that info yet. I also know that it does not mean he is a great coach because of a director position or college coach position.

Wonder if that premier group will go back to TH or to SSA if they dont get moved up as they were " promised " a bunch of things going into last season.

anybody know anything about UFA Metro boys side coaches? I’ll preface this by saying my family fell for the same situation a couple years ago but… My guess is half the staff will turn over (again), JA/LC will make the same used car salesman pitches they put out year after year, and ultimately the teams put out will be run like a glorified rec program with Arsenal screen prints on their kits. Even the one team that was previously very successful with JA as coach (08B) played soccer tennis with bleacher benches for their 3 practices a week 80% of the time while JA was either not there or on his phone off to the side. Ask around and you’ll find out how many quality coaches have seen that situation and gotten the heck out of Dodge. There are a couple energetic, passionate coaches still there hanging on but the product is rotten due to some frankly shocking decisions made at the top and rampant nepotism. I don’t know you from Adam but my advice would be get out while the getting isn’t any worse than it will get or simply STEER CLEAR.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Just found out that Velko will be the 2012B coach next season. A friend gave great feedback on him. Would love you hear to from your experience with Velko coaching your player. TIA Everyone has a different view on coaches. Our older daughter’s team every single parent did not like him. It was enough that some complained to the club and others wanted to but were too afraid. My younger daughter’s team had some parents like him a lot and others were neutral or did not like him. I can see that some teams might have a good experience given the difference that happened between my two kids. I don’t know if you ever read the thread about Mike Ceidel, but they were people who love him and those who hate him. I was just listening to a group of people trashing Alan Woods and we know people who adore him. Every coach has detractors and supporters. We did not like Andy. Glad that you did. Did anyone have experience with Andy Wade last year for RL boys? I've only heard that it was a cluster mess at the beginning of the season. Based on some of these comments he sounds like most of the coaches responsible for shepherding our youth through the cash cow that are these clubs. Liked by some, hated by others.

Andy is a quality coach, he inherited that team which was a little bit of a mess. Didn't make a lot of changes and there were some players that probably weren't at the ECNL R level. Definitely saw development and improvement from fall to spring.
