Anyone know much about Dan Dawson? UFA ECNL Boys - 2006 Dan Dawson I did a quick search on this site and this string was the only hit... Two weeks ago my brother (another dad) told me about one of the coaches named Dan Dawson, that is fantastic. I can’t recall the specifics other than he was referring to his ability to teach kids the game. |

Is he the same guy that did some work at TOCA Norcross? Or am I confusing him? I’m pretty sure that he pre-dates the club becoming UFA Norcross. |

Yes-personally not impressed. Girls parents and kids loved him...boys parents and kids not so much as a general rule. However, he is a knowledgeable coach. Agreed. His 06 girls and parents adored him. Can’t say the same for everybody else. I’ve heard he’s excellent but many disagreed with the younger girls age groups |

Chris Hall is an unbelievable coach from what I have seen. He literally stays as long after practice as any kid wants to work on things. He will talk to any parent at any time. If your kid loves soccer he is the coach for you. Nobody will work your kid harder (NOBODY) and turn them into a better player. If your kid needs convincing to go to practice this is not the coach for you.
He works kids hard, he will personally help them 1 on 1 to improve and if your kid wants to be a great soccer player he will make them great.

Full disclosure, he's a friend of mine. But he's also one of the very best coaches around. He is very honest and if you ask a question he will tell you what he thinks and why he thinks it. He focuses completely on how his team (and the individual player) plays and not at all on the result. He's uncompromising in that regard which does put him at odds with parents who focus on the wins and losses. His players and teams improve dramatically. I've seen it happen over and over again through the years. Are you wary at all that he’s on here posting about himself? Ever since you brought that up I’ve been keeping tabs on which coaches get talked about, ha! Just glad my kids are at one of the smaller clubs that doesn’t get discussed much (or ever just about) |

I believe they did that when the age group split happened for the trapped seniors. Most ECNL clubs have one. |

Wants communications to come through girls and will only get with you when he feels its important. But the girls who he coaches will walk through walls for him. He will hold them accountable and will do the same thing to decisions he makes tactically and actually apologize. He imo is the main reason our daughter has committed to play in college and anyone who has him will be better for his coaching. |

I dont ever reply to what he or she says, doesn't even matter if its important or not. I just scroll thru which I have noticed a lot of folks do..maybe they all blocked her? most people don't respond. |
