Anyone know anything about Ashley Allen at Concorde? Good coach? He's ok. His daughter plays on his team so some people may not like that.

This is such a great idea.. I don't know why clubs don't ALL do this. Players, too.
You'll get the whiners and the cheerleaders, but it should give you a good idea overall.
Some clubs do have surveys and generally state they are anonymous. There's always a way to track it back.... even on this board,I think someone has tracked users who changed their names based on their IP address. I think this is a fine idea, Have the players evaluate you and the parents, see it if there’s trends in people’s answers... as a coach I always prefer parents be direct and if you want to ask a question or complain at least I can give my POV or why (we may disagree but you can then see where I’m coming from) Coaches need to be more vulnerable, if you are convicted in what you do and believe in it then you shouldn’t be so defensive. Some will say yeah you don’t wanna hear from parents, yeah Probably right but it’s better than you bizatchin about things in the parking lot with other parents and being disgruntled

Someone post it like all the other lists. Concorde never and I mean NEVER posts a list. The only way to find out is to ask someone who is coaching which teams at which age group.

Anyone know anything about Ashley Allen at Concorde? Good coach? Decent coach, a wee bit of a yeller, so if your kid doesn't respond well to that, may not be a good fit. I believe he coached the CF Platinum 2007s last year and like someone else already mentioned his daughter was on that team and it rubbed some the wrong way. Also has an older kid, also at CF on the platinum team. If you're trying to get on his good side, talk up Liverpool 😉

Where did you get the teams list. I'm curious about the Hoover Vestavia teams. Would this mean that VHSC is taking their first teams out of NL/SCCL? If so I would get it from their perspective, but it would make an SCCL trip to birmingham nearly pointless.
ECRL can't get here fast enough.

Sarcasm font ON: Hi there I have a large family of soccer players and was wondering. Does anyone have any information about who is coaching the SCCL teams at Concorde? Especially interested in the age groups for boys and girls ages: 2009 2008 2007 2006 2005 2004 2003

It is interesting VHSC felt the need to go to another league when they weren't winning a ton in SCCL. On the girls side at least they were 4th or 5th overall.
If ECRL gets created next year for the southeast I wonder if VHSC is left out.
I wonder if this means SCCL Club will do 20 games home-and-away or just stick to a weak 10-game schedule. Maybe a hybrid approach, 14-15 games where you play some teams twice.

Any idea who will take over the 05s now? Will they stay SCCL, or will the mothership take that away? Assuming Andrea will just have the only 02/03 team now?

Renata is taking over what may be left of the 2005s. I know she's busy currently, trying to salvage who and what she can. That team loved playing with each other so I anticipate them all staying together. Any which way you look at it, she has an uphill battle, made tougher because SM is a good coach...
**update: not sure how my words above could be construed as a denigration of Renata (DMs). For the record, I absolutely luv Renata as a Coach, Player and even more as a Person. I actually don't think she gets the credit she deserves. UFA is very lucky to have her...❣❣❣

I hope the 05's end up playing together wherever they go and give other teams run for their money.

If/when the list of coaches is updated, this type of document updates online automatically every five minutes. The link should not change unless they upload a new document.

Glad she was finally named Girls Academy Director.

If it was me - my kid would be staying put -- Renata is an excellent coach -- you can tell she enjoys coaching. I like that. Unless by chance all-in was more convenient for me.
