Add another win against Flames and one against a FL 07 boys team by 10-0 and I think maybe this young group of girls really are this good.

What level of play do these boys play? I’m not a soccer expert, but I don’t hear of quality boys teams playing a girls team ever. I personally don’t see the benefit of boys playing girls at all.

I saw the boys picking a few balls out of the net so figured you guys were doing well. What was the score yesterday? It wasn't posted the last time I looked.

Not exactly sure why you would find my statement re: Wake and West Florida “very insulting” but the facts support my contention. Last weekend they had losses in the U15 and older age groups (current U14s are either 12 or 13 right now so I’m not counting girls that young) of 7-0, 4-2, 7-0, 2-1, 6-1, 8-0 and 11-0 last weekend. Not exactly putting up much of a fight across all age groups and DEFINITELY not being sold short given their performances thus far. I agree with you that U16 is around the time that you might want to take a look at FL teams (that’s a good time in general for all girls although I’d probably say U15, maybe U14 if they’re girls national team-level players). For example, U16 FL Elite took out both UFA and AFU last weekend, Jacksonville beat AFU as well & Sunrise played GSA and Concorde Platinum last week and escaped Atlanta without a loss. If anything, the FL teams not named West Florida are the ones being sold short. Even in their losses they’re at least competitive for the most part. Rec teams in GA kits isn't a bit over the top??? Wake FC won Piedmont NL and NPL in the 05 age group and younger age groups consistently beat up UFA's second teams last year. I think comparing NPL/NL teams (who generally have kids going to lower D1 and better D2 schools in college at older age groups) to rec teams is insulting to those kids. People trash "lower" league teams like those from SCCL. NPL and NL Piedmont, but to compare them to rec is insulting IMO. Not sure why you keep bringing up Roswell. They’re not in EITHER of the leagues we’re talking about, so that’s just a complete non-sequitur. Besides, who cares what a team did LAST year?!? Last season there was DA and no GAL, so clearly a lot can change in a season (actually in just a few month). This conversation is about the present, and presently, based on the scores, the FACT is those scores trump your baseless OPINION of how good those clubs currently are on the girls side. Doesn’t mean that can’t change but right now, it is what it is.

It is not a baseless opinion to know that you are being a snob to compare an NL team from last year and DA team from last year to rec teams. Of course last year is somewhat relevant as in some cases the teams are the same. It is also a bit ridiculous to make disparaging remarks about CHILDREN based on a few games. I will now know that you are a snob and ignore your opinions. P.S. the Roswell comment was just to point out that people see wins and declare a team great even when they are playing in "lower" leagues but call teams losing in "top" leagues crap. I think it is a stupid bias.

It is worthless for me to argue with you. I know there will be no changing your opinions. I will say that from some interactions with your kid, she seems very nice and cheerful and not at all snobby. Hopefully she will stay that way.

Don’t know your kid either but I hope they’re not nearly as judgmental as you are and remains that way. Don’t get mad at me because your soccer analysis was weak and unsupported by the facts.

I recognize that ECNL does not have the monopoly on talent or great teams. I also know some of the players on these teams and know how good some of them are. I just don't like it when people disparage other teams and players, especially in a public place. As a parent who has watched many levels of soccer there is a major distinction between rec and SCCL-P and between SCCL-P and SCCL, NPL and so on up to the top. Don't compare girls who will play D1 and D2 and D3 soccer to recreational players. That is absurd. The judgmental comment...what a joke!! You are the one disparaging players and teams. You are the judgemental one.

If your kid isn't in the USYNT training camps, you basically are in no position to judge. You can be choosy, sure. But likely there's someone at that level looking down their nose at your kid.
But also, if you are in that position and wasting time in youth soccer forums, it may be a good time to reevaluate.

I just don't think it is right. I encourage my kids (and my spouse 🤣) to always respect the work that kids put into their game. Whether they are the best on their team or not I respect the hard work that many kids go through. It is ok to be frustrated with teammates, competitors, even coaches for being less than what you want them to be, but if they are putting in the work respect them.

You are the judgemental one. Let me rephrase then. I’m glad I don’t know who you are or who your kid is based on your handle on this forum (although I do have an idea). To be specific, I didn’t call out a specific player. I simply acknowledge that people play at different levels in soccer based on talent. That’s a fact in all sports whether you like it or not. If that fact strikes a nerve or hits too close to home based on your situation, get better or get over it.
