I have one or two inquiries for the group. Where is AU in the process of looking for a DE and CB replacement? Oh, I meant just DE. Garth from the Sounders has been mentioned in rumors, but other than that, the internet seems to be keeping quiet. It seems that no level at AU is currently content, even the U12s, who were told that while you might be the next Ronaldo or Messi, we will no longer be challenging you by allowing you to play your skills against older and stronger players. This is in addition to the obvious dysfunctional news we hear from the first team. Someone with a strategy from the top down needs to come and right the ship... (fingers crossed) we don't screw this hire up

Today, I came across this on the main AU Twitter page. Apparently, it was mostly the 2005 academy players, along with a few of the signed AU2 players, playing against players from the Aberdeen first team. This is according to a handful of AU Academy parents I spoke with. I wish it had been advertised or promoted more so that more viewers could watch, appreciate, and evaluate Academy/AU2 players against the current 3rd-ranked team from the Scottish Premiership.
p.s. Aberdeen scored the game's lone goal in the 67th minute from a corner kick Golazo!

Find it an indictment on how bad the Scottish league must be if they can't throttle a bunch of kids. They had to have played a bunch of young kids as well, if not....
Yea, apparently its against MLS rules for any of the first team players to play since its out of season etc.

I thought both clubs had some kind of partnership or ownership stake in each other? I would think AU would use this as a gateway to getting young or established players into the juggernaut that is European soccer. This is yet another way the front office is oblivious to or missing out on maximizing on their investment, and now we see them struggling to fund their academy and not making a profit.

It looks like George Bello may be on the move to Austrian club LASK
Bello has decided to stay in Europe after rejecting advances from MLS side Real Salt Lake, and the 21-year-old is set to begin a fresh chapter in his career after suffering back-to-back relegations with Arminia Bielefeld. The eight-time capped USMNT defender stated, “LASK has made a great effort to sign me, and from the beginning, I felt that something big is being created here. The playing philosophy presented to me fits very well with my strengths, and I want to contribute to our national and international success together.”
