Pretty sure 7a region 3 are the cream of the crop this year. Nah, It will still be Lambert as they play the toughest competition week in and week out. Our 4 seed even won against the 1 seed again this year.

Nah, Lambert lost to Harrison already this year. Will be lucky to get by Parkview.

I don't think Lambert could beat Walton or Hillgrove this year. They might be 4th best team if they were in Region 3.

Everyone is talking about 7a… what about the other classifications?

I see unranked Alpharetta knocked off Harrison last night. I believe Harrison was ranked #1 for a few weeks this season.
Also Denmark beat Parkview 1-0 with the only score coming off a set piece. Cambridge is the only other team to hold Denmark to one goal this season. Either Parkview did something to shut down that potent Denmark attack, or this is a case of Denmark now having to work harder as they play the more difficult teams. I mentioned earlier in this thread that I was not real impressed with Denmark's strength of schedule this season. Looks like they get Walton next, so that should be another good test.

Interesting. Like other teams, I’m sure Denmark is dealing with its share of injuries. Denmark beat Alpharetta during the regular season 3-1.

I’m going to watch (boys) Roswell vs Walton tonight. No skin in the game anymore - except my younger non soccer playing kid goes to Roswell.
What’s the scouting report on Walton boys? I presume as usual they’ll be nicely skilled NASA players who keep the ball and talk a lot.

I think it is a case of "All of the Above" for Denmark. They played Parkview over spring break, so the teams were familiar with one another (Denmark won the first meeting 2-0). Additionally Parkview is a good team, and Judson is a very good coach. I'm sure he was able to plan for Denmark given the recent meeting.

Was happy to see the Dunwoody girls beat Hillgrove 2-1 last night with both goals coming from an AFU ECNL player. They get the winner of Brookwood vs W. Forsyth next in the round of 8.

Good news is Lambert will end up winning it all again after they knock out Parkview tonight. Central wins tonight as well.

Can someone explain how Alpharetta beat Harrison? Score says 0-0… did it go to PK’s or is season record or something else?

Apparently the Alpharetta game went to Pks.
West Forsyth girls beat Brookwood 3-0.

I’m going to watch (boys) Roswell vs Walton tonight. How was the game? Exciting. Walton usually gets the best of Roswell historically but Roswell won it 4-3 with 1:11 left in 2nd OT. As expected Walton was organized and dangerous. Many scoring chances created both ways. Many wasted. End to end action and lots of goals. Good match.

Many wasted. End to end action and lots of goals. Good match. Felt like Walton was the slightly better team but couldn't seal the deal. Missed two 1v1 with keeper from close range in 1st OT. Game winning shot from Roswell had wicked movement. First goal by Roswell 10 minutes in caught Walton's back line flat. Roswell was pushing all three forwards high and wide, testing offside line and using speed to press hard. Walton adjusted after that goal, dropping the back line for more cushion, no more breakaways. Both teams were very good, individual skill, team defending, moving the ball well at times. Best game I've seen all season (and I've seen a lot...)

Fun match to watch especially without the tension of having your own kid playing. Did you referee the match?

I told y’all it’s going to be Lambert winning it all again. They will handle Harrison next week. I was wrong about Central but right about West not being able to compete with Campbell. If West cannot get the ball to the small striker then they have no offense.

If West cannot get the ball to the small striker then they have no offense. Wrong again. Lambert 4th place in Region 3 if that is where they played. Well the handle fits you well because we won Region 3 this year. We will beat Harrison when it matters next week to avenge the early season loss so be sure to pay attention.

What happened between Harrison vs Dunwoody? Looks like Harrison had all their goals in the second half - did Dunwoody blow it with red card(s)?
