Yes some coaches have been let go but that happens every year just like it does at every club. I know the coach who started all this drama you're referencing and they're disgruntled. There seems to be a lot of shade directed at certain clubs on this forum, including a lot of unproductive innuendo. Coaches are evaluated by leadership/ownership and changes are made, just like in every organization. Only a couple of coaches are leaving for other clubs as most that are changing are staying within UFA. I can't be sure that we are talking about the same coaches. I don't want this to become a situation where anyone is exposed as a disgruntled employee. That doesn't bode well for anyone. Agree to disagree. I really don't want to risk my anonymity or anyone else's for the sake of my kids. I will say that success at UFA Norcross would be amazing, the potential is there, but communication and stability within the club HAS to improve. The fact that we can hear such vastly different experiences should say enough... Does anyone have any thoughts on the new leadership team at Norcross? We've heard the whole "let's make Norcross great again," and "we don't want to continue to be Forsyth's little brother," vision. But the reality is that Norcross services a completely different demographic than Forsyth and to put Elite 64 there is going to require Arthur M. Blank type sponsorship. Is anyone experiencing them even trying to keep existing families and players? All we are hearing is "recruiting,""winning,"and "bringing other clubs into the fold."

Much of the same here. Not a bad thing. Looks like the biggest changes were boys RL where looks as some coaches were moved up from Red and Gold teams.

The new leadership is doing the best with what they've got. Transition could have been handled better. Wary about the Girls Academy Director but hoping that this will be her last move for a while. They have been sending out the "Come to Our Tryouts" emails, but other than that there doesn't seem to be a real push to keep current players. Can't speak for every coach. At this point they must know that their demographic isn't suited for Elite 64. Because E64 is in addition to regular play they may just be asking their ECNL/ECRL/ SCCL CL etc. teams to play out of Norcross for that specific team? Some Norcross SCCL teams may also be moving to ECRL and/or playing E64. There's some real talent at Norcross. I hope new incoming coaches see that and work hard to keep it. Scholarships have to improve as well, but I don't think Norcross has the funds right now.

Scholarships have to improve as well, but I don't think Norcross has the funds right now. My understanding is that E64 is 16 games w/ 2 showcases at Disney and IMG. The roster can be 35 kids which on a GOOD day is all of an entire age group at Norcross. It's definitely catered to bigger clubs with a pool of "elite" kids. I don't think there will be any cross-pollination between Forsyth and Norcross. That would be amazing though. Because given the right structure and coaching, the Norcross kids can compete with Forsyth. Maybe the new leadership is setting the tone that there are new sheriffs in town and by golly, they are going to act like a big club that wins. And if that means recruiting in teams to compete, then that's what's going to happen.

Any update on new coach for the TH GA teams who had Eddie? Someone said TH coach assignments were to be posted this morning, but nothing so far on social.

Good luck to players and parents on that team Sorry, sometimes context doesn't translate... does that have any meaning other than just "good luck"? Or like sarcastically... "good luck with that"?

I cannot believe some of the coaches that are on this list. Happy for some that got promoted but others that did I am not a fan of. Someone said Ted was going up with the 2010 Gold team and they were right. That team should be interesting to watch over time!

So rumor is that one of the coaches on that list for the girls side is also leaving. Not a high level team, but still another loss for NTH

Anyone familiar with Lovie Millsap or Sheriff Suma at UFA? UFA Norcross Boys Coaches communication went out in an email to a select group (i.e., not all current parents or team managers received it). Good to see the transition to new leadership is going well.

I will let you decide. Told girls they made it during tryouts only to let them go on day three. Had one girl quit after 1 month of being on the team. Some other girl quit before the season was done. Coach didn’t finish out the year . Heard some girls quit soccer entirely after last season because of the way he treated them Pull up previous threads on this coach. You either love him or hate him

Don't think it's been shared yet on the board but I did see that UFA Norcross posted their coaching list: UFA-N 2022-2023 coachesLooks like this branch will be all about the new Elite 64 league. I could be wrong but none of these girls coaches were at Norcross last year. Frankly it looks as if the new guy (Waltenburg) cleaned house, only retaining some of the boys coaches but only a few of them.

I think Deo/Iggy planting their guy to finally fold it in and turn it profitable. It is all about the money IMO. Sad to say Norcross Fury is dead.

I believe Olivia is from KSU, Chris from GSA, and Darnel (if the same first name seems to be spelled slightly differently) from NTH Milton. Chris and Darnel are older, Olivia is younger ... but all seem to have solid backgrounds in coaching. Would definitely be interested in hearing personal experiences.

Bluesprings, Steamers, Gsa, back to steamers, Bryson Park, Piedmont/WinderBarrow. He’s been all over but his best group of girls from Gsa have graduated so interested to see what he is puts together.

He may have been at several clubs, but hopefully UFA is the place where he can build solid teams. He was one of the best coaches my kids had. It will be interesting to see how all the new coaches do at Norcross. From what I heard, they have been great with communication so far.

There are some pot stirrers but not as many as there are good people looking for the best experience for their kid.
