HS Coaches do fitness because many of them don't have the acumen to incorporate fitness with the ball.

The lack of Almirón news makes me wonder if he will be back this year in a ATL. That will require the type of help from the league that used to be reserved for LA Galaxy.. Sorry for wandering off topic. Again. They already said Almiron would be with AU through the preseason at the minimum

Per GA Soccer email games will be listed as DNP (did not play) and both teams will not get points for the game. Based on the results recently posted for games not played, it appears to me that games were simply recorded as zero to zero ties with two points to both teams.
Hmm.
That is not what I was expecting. GaSoccer Youth rule 720.5A implies differently. But I did not see the GaSoccer email that refers to the 'DNP' designation. At least the season is over!
Direct quote from GA Soccer email- We have completed the fall season, and standings are final. The five games that were not played are recorded as DNP (did not play), with no points to these teams. GA Soccer rules stipulate that DNP games are recorded as 0-0 with neither team awarded points.

Paul Gardner is one of the most negative soccer journalists out there. I trust Eales and Bocanegra have done their due diligence and made the right decision.

I think he would make an excellent candidate. Patrick Vieira didn't have any coaching experience prior to coming to NYCFC, just some prior coaching with the Man City academy. He certainly would keep the style of play similar. Not sure how that would impact our South American scouting pipeline though.

On another note Greg Garza was invited to the USMNT camp in January, much deserved and long overdue.

TOCA sessions for most of the players over the winter and indoor soccer. As much as I encourage a mental break they want to keep working. Could you share the costs for Toca thanks. Call the Marietta location- they typically have NTH, CF, Roswell and AU kids come in and train weekly. 678-403-2632

His three year shelf life has run its course again. I was perfectly ok with him benching Pogba, he's a great player but he's more concerned with his hair styles and his brand versus being an example and a leader.
Jose always tries to assert his authority over his star players and it typically ends up diving the locker room.
Meanwhile- Zidane is on line 1

Kind of hard to criticize NYCFC for playing on a baseball field when our 2nd team does too, I am more inclined to go to some of the games now.

On the local news as well yesterday. Why was it not secured at the offices or with Blank somewhere?? Its standard practice for players to take the cup out on the town or to various events. The Stanley Cup is one that comes to mind too.

Filed in Federal court. I don't know how to link it. It reads like gossip and sour grapes. Like poster said above, coaching decisions are completely subjective and when you couple that with the great success of that age group, it seems like the coach subjectively made pretty good team choices. I am certainly no legal expert, how does one go about proving this? Short of some actual documents from the coach, isn’t everything involving this case heresay? That's just it, you cant prove ability and future potential. You see these lawsuits all the time- kid gets cut, parents sue for emotional distress and monetary damages because of lost college scholarship opportunities, these cases rarely if ever are ruled in favor of the plaintiff

Rumored coaches to take over for Tata Martino at Atlanta United: Guillermo Barros Schelotto, Jorge Sampaoli, Frank de Boer and an unusual one in Alan Pardew who was seen in Atlanta during the MLS Cup Final. One nugget is that our new signing Pity Martinez does not like Schelotto for obvious reasons but GBS is the heavy favorite to take over the reins for Atlanta United.

The kids of today always bust themselves by resorting to Social Media to document their stupidity. I'm so thankful social media wasn't a thing when we grew up. You know why kids can't stay off social media? Because the most valuable currency in the world is "likes" and approval, to kids that's more valuable than money.
