Ok... I am sorry if this has been covered but from a ton of research tonight, my understanding of the league totem pole is as follows: 1) DA 2) Ecnl/NPL (some might fight me on this but after some heavy review, US Club is definitely positioning NPL as the ECNL equivilant) 3) SCCL 4) USYSA NL 5) USYSA Piedmont/SCCL Premier 6) Classic/Athena Any objections...?? Looks good but you forgot DPL. Tophat is saying it would be equivalent to ECNL but won't know that answer for a couple of years.

Yes, you will have a lot of objections. I'll give my opinion, but probably doesn't hold true in every age group and top of lower league often better than bottom of one above it. If Girls, I'd argue that DA and ECNL are very close, probably a slight edge to DA, but not by much. Then NL (including Piedmont league) in most age groups, then NPL and SCCL (probably pretty close), then Athena (top teams in Athena A in most age groups wouldn't have a problem competing in SCCL but bottom teams likely would struggle) *disclaimer - I probably don't know enough about NPL teams to accurately access that league and its teams - where I put NPL is a bit of a guess/hunch If Boys, only think I know for sure is that DA is definitely at top - doesn't have competition from ECNL like the girls side. ECNL and NL are likely pretty close on the boys side

I really doubt any of these DPL teams are ECNL quality. Smart families would see past this nonsense and opt for SCCL at NTH or ECNL elsewhere.
Perhaps they opt for big fish/small pond elsewhere and balance out the competition? hahahahahaha

UFA Forsyth & Norcross show SCCL teams. That's new for Forsyth location. Also, pretty sure there are some upset parents tonight over a certain NPL girls coach being on that list. ECNL tryouts will be crowded. Forsyth list is specific to which teams are SCCL and SCCL-P. Norcross just said SCCL which could have meant either. Since only one coach that is coaching girls NPL is new to coaching NPL and is U13 or above I am assuming you are talking about that coach, but I could be wrong. If you are speaking of that coach I doubt it will affect ECNL tryouts. If you are speaking about any of the other NPL coaches then I would suggest that those parents talk to players and parents who have experience with those coaches because they are generally well regarded. Of course there isn't a coach in this world that EVERYONE likes, but those two have WAY more happy parents and kids on their teams than unhappy ones! So on the posted assignments, how does one know for sure if SCCL means SCCL or SCCL-P? And SCCL is higher than SCCL-P? What is the difference between SCCL and SCC-P as far as teams played and travel?

Forsyth shows wether its Premier or not. If it doesn't have a PW after SCCL then its regular SCCL. Yes SCCL is Division 1 and Premier is Division 2 Division 1 teams: UFA GSA CF NTH SSA Vestavia Hills BUSA CESA AUFC (U12 only) Division 2 teams(West) Same teams as above EXCEPT AUFC, VH, CESA, & BUSA Plus: AFU Carolina FC

Just Tophat in Georgia. The other team are in FL Virginia and I think one in SC or NC And Texas. Would play crossover with that area as well as three DA Showcases annually. DPL is not part of USSF DA, so they wouldn't be able to participate in their showcases

Perhaps they opt for big fish/small pond elsewhere and balance out the competition? hahahahahaha Created specifically by clubs that had DA and ECNL and were forced by ECNL to pick one. They picked DA and created a new league for their former ECNL teams. Also added some quality clubs that should have had ECNL but didn't for political reasons.

DPL is not part of USSF DA, so they wouldn't be able to participate in their showcases DPL teams are playing at DA showcases Not doubting your info, but curious as to whether or not they will actually play DA teams or just have their own games at the same time and same location as the DA showcases. It seems to me that it would go against DA's philosophy to allow outside teams (some of whom are not even DA clubs like Mt Pleasant and Palm Beach Gardens) to play against their DA teams in a showcase.

^ agreed. No way USSF DA allows DPL teams to play in their showcase. I agree with the potential to have DPL showcase at different park in same city as DA showcase.
I dont think USSF cares or has anything to do with DPL, I'd label anything to the contrary as "fake news."

The showcases dpl are going to are the Silverlakes college showcase in November and Vegas players showcase in March. I believe at least the second (maybe the first too?) is a DA showcase, but could have misunderstood.

Sounds like you will be doing the NL showcases
