Being "woke" didn't have sh*t to do with why they lost. I'm willing to bet that you didn't watch a single match. You just sat around hoping the women lost so you could beat that bird chest of yours. This team is old and needs to go with younger playmakers like Midge Purce. Period

Being woke was/is probably a media distraction brought on by a few aging members which seems to heightening their 2-2-1 difunctional performance so far.. love or hate the media but that’s another bird chest thumping story best told by the Olympic ratings..
Yes, I watched the Sweden loss and then the lackluster Australia 0-0 tie.. Olympic coverage is on multiple channels with multiple sports being shown.
Being a cheerleader for Team USA isnt exclusive to women’s soccer but to all athletes and Yes, watching USA vs Japan baseball was far more entertaining this morning.. I bet the Japanese fans were beating their bird chests in cheering their team to Victory in extras (7-6).
Hopefully, the bronze game will have better results for the average core age of 31, even ESPN agrees going younger could be a key.

LOL! The only thing wrong with this team is an ability to embrace EVOLUTION. Kind of like yourself... living in the past leads to loses.

Technically, today’s lose is in the past so Yeah, we all got spoiled believing 2016 and 2021 would be like 1996-2004-2008-2012 golden moments.. what’s the odds of winning World Cup and winning Olympic gold back to back? Hmm, 🤔

Has any team ever won the World Cup and Olympics in back to back years?
Why do the Olympics seem to be harder to win than the World Cup? Last Olympics we were knocked out in the quarterfinals. This year we advanced one round further but still only to the semis. Is it a coincidence or can it be explained by something?

I don't believe it has been done before. No question the olympics is a tough field with only 16 teams making it in, only 2 truly week teams in - chile and zambia.
its crazy - no France, no Germany.
I think traditionally its a 18 player roster with alternates vs like the expanded 23 player roster this year (still only 18 on game day). Roster size and games are played over a short period. (not sure how it compares to the world cup to be honest). Then not to mention, you as a team have a target on your back and you get everyone's best
