I think playing on Turf so much nowadays is contributing to this and yes lack of rest. We as parents sign our kids up for winter futsal, summer programs and extra training thinking this gives our kids the extra edge. I see where parents let their kid that is obviously in pain still play without a diagnosis from a doctor. Usually takes another month of playing like this for the damage to really kick in. But yes, high schools need to calm down with the extra PE class weight room training and conditioning before the club season is complete.

Is it better to play on a winning ECRL team with a good coach or a last place ECNL team? Parents can probably find their kid a spot at another club on one of the lower rank ECNL teams but is that experience worth it?

Where things got screwed up with AU in ECNL is; GSA/AFU would play the 07s,, but Concorde and NASA would play the 06s. Happened at every age group. GSA could get a win and that can be the difference of making the playoffs or not. I would just like consistency across the games so the standings are meaningful. Used more as development for AU which is great, but everyone should be playing the same kids if standings count.

NASA 06s also beat ATL UTD 06 in the Atl Utd Cup, so good weekend for NASA ECNL.

KSA is entered into the ATL UTD Youth Cup. Wonder if anyone would care to check ages for that tourney.

I think this will just be plain fun. Bragging rights to the club that can field the best team. Forget all the benefits, it'll be interesting to watch some of the matches.

Does anybody know why the standings for ECNL are based on ppg instead of points? Has it always been this way? Or do they just not have their crap together?

I think clubs, if they have both would make NPL the 2nd team, 1st if they don't have MLS or ECNL. Go with the higher ranked team if travel is not an issue. Competition will be better in most cases, although I knew of a couple of SCCL teams that could have beaten some of the NPL teams last year.

Yeah, if tryouts are that easy to cancel, it'll be the same for the season. I will be holding out from plugging my credit card into the registration site. If they don't like it my kids will just be free agents in the fall.

We can just follow what the UFC and other pro sports will do.
Kids that want to participate, get tested. Maybe monthly? Show proof that they are negative or have the antibodies. Temperature taken before games and if all good, no restrictions. Full contact play with no fear.

Current Situations at GA ECNL Clubs - some speculation AFU/GSA Girls/Boys - Was never able to get DA but may now become a destination club with ENCL? Kids that currently travel to DA clubs may choose one of these clubs if closer to home?
NASA/TH - Not able to get full Boys DA past u14, but has boys ECNL. TH Girls in DA, will girls get ECNL? If not, where will these girls go?
Concorde Girls/Boys - Currently has both boys DA and ECNL/Girls ECNL -
UFA - Only has girls ECNL, will boys get ECNL or does NPL become their top boys team??
Some kids on current ECNL teams will lose spots to DA kids. SCCL becomes stronger
Atlanta United for boys, will stand alone in GA as top destination. Friendlies with local clubs will become new recruiting tool?

I'm just trying to figure out the logic to give the reigns to another club for that 05 team. The 05 team was a good team, and the SSA while a little better does not merit a complete overhaul(if that's what happened) of the current team. They players would have come anyway right? Where else would they go if they wanted to play DA? The team would have been made stronger with a few key players from SSA. I'd imagine SSA Players are closer to Concorde than UFA and Atlanta United wouldn't have taken all of them.

If Boys U12 DA goes away next year, do all the non full DA clubs get just U13, U14 next year? Then just U14 following that? Or will they eventually get U13-15 2019-20, U14-16 2020-21? Seems odd to only have DA for 1 year for the 4 clubs(nasa, ssa, afc, lanier) if not so.

UFA parents say it hit football goal posts. All CF parents say it hit crossbar(this is what I saw). Amazing how the 2 see if differently. I saw what I saw they saw what they saw. Look forward to the match in Spring!

Clemson takes pride in their player's overall GPA, which must mean he has the grades to be on their program(just a guess). Hopefully his parents will guide him in the right direction.
