NTH-NASA 2007 boys had a fairly dominant week in Greensboro, NC. 4 wins in a row and advanced to ECNL finals tournament in California. 9 goals for and only 1 against during the week. They definitely impressed, especially considering their new coach for Fall cut 6 players. Don’t tell nasa Nationals is just another showcase, they play to win it not just show off for scouts.

So is there any more word on what is going on with the AU Academy. Are they dropping U12 and U15 for next season? Confirmed - Yes and Yes, but it's U12 and U16 Is this why AU cut so many 2008s this spring?

2005 Girls was a very small age group and a majority of the players were spring birthdays. This was that group that when the age mandate hit jumped from U10 to U12 so a lot of mid/low level players quit as they struggled with the three year change. 6v6 then 9v9 then 11v11 all in a three year period.

Tophat loading up on GKs too. They just signed the top SSA keeper to split time on their GA Gold team.
Gsa SCCL keeper moving to concorde to play ECRL.
Add in the Ufa ercl keeper quit so an age group that was already short on keeps just got a little smaller.

But seriously, has the club not said anything about Galloway for 2023? How are we at tryouts and coaching staff and training locations are not confirmed? How are parents supposed to make decisions on what's most convenient as well as best for their kids? Allegedly they have secured Galloway for the next year but won’t give any guarantees because they don’t have contracts signed. As you probably saw last night fallback fields are needed in case of rain. Also not sure how schedules will be affected by the developer needing to do soil samples and engineering studies. Someone over there should really reach out to Westminster about their fields… NASATophat have the Westminister fields. Is Northside hosting tryouts? Who’s still left coaching wise?? Outside of maybe some Academy teams that could train at random fields and play with SSA Blue / Mudcreek how can they even field anything?

Most SCCL level coaches are paid $700-800 per team per month. ECNL-RL typically get $1000-$1200 depending on the license the coach has and things like how well they can negotiate.

SSA Northside is done. Closing shop like Dekalb after this coming year. Lose of Galloway fields and no where to go left SSA no choice but to move everything.

Play teams twice in your division, once against teams in the other division. East: CF Prem NASA AFU Surf SC United CESA West: Alabama Red Wolves GSA UFA CF Plat FC Alliance Tennessee Apologize if i missed this but is this an official change to next years format( just yet to be officially announced) or is this speculation or just an idea? Thanks! We were told of this back in Id say March, seems like a set thing with all the travel issues this past year.

New to this forum. So all the other coaches there dont have morals, only coach Eddie? Interesting insight. Morals can't be that high if he's looking to replace the majority of his 2011 side? There must be a lot of nervous players on the 2011 Concorde team. Are there any concorde teams not nervous at tryout season? That’s the environment Gregg has made.

Eddie is a great coach, especially for younger development. He genuinely cares about his kids. He won’t lie to you or make you promises that he can’t keep (like many other will), but he will do his best for your kid. The kids love him. I don’t know of a single parent who dislikes him as a coach either. Also, know that Eddie left Tophat last year for Concorde. For better opportunities for his own growth as a coach. He left in the correct way and let his girls know first. So whatever any tophat coach tells you about Eddie, take that with a grain of salt. If he was so bad, why did he have the GAL Navy teams in many age groups before he made his transition to Concorde. I agree about Eddie. I also don’t know if any Tophat people who speak poorly of him. He left so he could get first team opportunities. Tophat does have glass ceiling for the Gold teams. Some quality coaches that I know have also had trouble getting Navy teams or even DPL teams in the past, even when less quality people have had those teams. I am happy for Eddie that he had a top team last year and I hope that he gets what he wants for this year too. As an aside more coaches should care about having an occasional lower level team to try to develop some real diamonds in the rough. Challenge themselves a little. Seems like Eddie made the right decision as a couple were told he will take over the 2010 Girls Platinum from Saxon. Mark Carr taking over the Premier team. So Eddie with 10 and 11 Girls ECNL Platinum in one year must mean he’s doing something right.

Just curious if anyone knows where Mike F is landing after being fired from Santos? Seems the city overseers didn’t them to run like a club and more like a Parks and Rec Dept. fired? Yes city of Roswell let Mike F go on April 28. Haven’t noticed the mass exodus of coaches from there? It was not a santos decision but a city one. The city wanted him to implement all this new policies and protocols that they’re making all the other sports do, and he wouldn’t because they don’t make soccer sense.

Silverbacks Park. Or any number of high schools with better facilities than McEachern. KSU's stadium would be perfect. Great venue, and the location is close to where most of the top soccer high schools are. Pretty sure between KSU’s asking price, their soccer and football programs and Atl United 2 this isn’t an option. Time for that soccer specific stadium in Atlanta. Just put it next to that billion dollar arena in Alpharetta.

It would make you wonder if ECNL is as special as people think. Also, why does ECNL keep blocking Santos from joining. That is a good question. Politics and money run soccer in this country.. so I’d go with politics since Roswell seems to have some money - but having been part of Santos when Mike F came over from GSA I have to say the long term plan is looking pretty good. I’m happy for him/them. Also heard the 10 year old turf is being replaced this year.. and at least one more park is getting turf. Just curious if anyone knows where Mike F is landing after being fired from Santos? Seems the city overseers didn’t them to run like a club and more like a Parks and Rec Dept.

I am familiar with 2 GA soccer/USYS clubs hosting tryouts NEXT WEEK. This is news to me, i guess they're fallback options for kids who don't make ECNL/GA/ECNLR/DPL rosters? Yes GA Soccer moved there’s up a week about 2 years ago to combat SCCL/USClub starting May 1st.

My 07 son is likely looking to move on after one more frustrating season of the Concorde coaching carousel. After five years, three different uncredentialed/unqualified coaches, and a ridiculously bad E64 experience it's time. Would really appreciate some feedback on 07 or 06 teams/coaches for us to explore. We play Concorde Central but will travel for the right situation. Go to Rush, they’ve got a young guy who’s had the 07Bs for about 2 years & plans to keep them through graduation. Solid SCCL team who’s Champions League level and knows how to develop boys to men. Coach is English and played college ball here in the states.

Pretty sure Garvin Quamina will have 08, 07, and 05/06 CF ECNL Platinum. He definitely plays heavy possession style. I've heard rumors he will be coaching the 2011 Platinum Girls this year- can you share a little more about him? Have heard as well that Eddie will stay with this group and is giving up the 2010 Girls Premier team. Guess his Tophat girls weren’t as good as they thought as they finished bottom of ECNL.

Too bad there is no way to combine these rankings with teams that play winter. Agreed. Either way, great showing by Georgia. I have no skin in the game, but hope Chamblee wins state and gives the finger to everyone who narc'd on them last year. Parents ruin everything. We suck. It wasn’t the parents, it was the Midtown coach and players (who are also Inter Atlanta families too). Chamblee was lucky to only get what they got. Funny to see inter turn on inter but that club has been in chaos for years.

I don’t know about others but when I think of SSA and Gsa I think of hillbillies or Republicans 🤷🏻♂️ I guess that’s racist now.
Tophat does could have = private school kids though but that’s more the Buckhead side. The nasa side is still east Cobb snobs.
But to answer the original question it depends on what part of the city you’re living in and it’s extremely rare to stay at one club forever. Especially with all the club / league changes.

Does anyone know what the real rules for contact/early training with other clubs are before May at U15+? Before May 1 you need permission from your current coach and club to train with another club. May 1 is the start of USClub tryouts so ECNL, ECNL-RL, SCCL, & NPL. Though the SCCL clubs have a handshake agreement to do all there’s the same days. USYS (GAL, MLSNext, e64, DPL, GaSoccer) I think are still Monday before Memorial Day. Multiple loopholes though to train with another club especially if you’re paying for a “camp”.

Isn’t this suppose to be the last season too? 😢 Hoping the story-line gives leeway for a 4th season+ Then fans can petition the powers that be... It’s not the network or the higher ups, it’s Jason Sudeikis. He only signed up for like 3 seasons I think due to the travel and his movie career.

U-baby to U-14 have tryouts week before memorial day. U-15 to U-adult have tryouts the week of memorial day. This is for SCCL and USClub. Ga Soccer have tryouts the usually a week prior and older kids go earlier.

Of the teams I have seen: 1. Hillgrove - physical and scrappy 2. Pope - (although Walton easily won the JV game, haven't seen Walton Varsity) 3. North Paulding - D1 commits up top 4. North Cobb - dangerous striker 5 Riverwood 6. West Forsyth - down significantly from last year, but still quality - currently not gelled as a team The rest (in no order): Allatoona - bleh, HC a football guy, assistant is terrible. right coach could make a good team. Marietta - no talent pool Kennesaw Mountain - a few solid players but no depth Woodstock - not good, better last year South Cobb - no talent pool On the docket for later: Osborne - not expecting much Dunwoody - always interesting Harrison - can they pull it together Didn’t Riverwood just get mercy ruled by Campbell?

I’d just add, just in case, that there’s never an offside offense if a player receives the ball directly from a goal kick, throw in, or corner kick (even if the player was in offside position at the time the ball was passed). In any other case, an offside position can be penalized if it falls under the criteria described in LOTG 11.2 This here!!! Love the no offside on goal kick when you’re playing on an NYCFC type field. Same for U12s who can booooooot it. 🤣

In the 2019 filings, GSA had a director on the ECNL Board of Directors (Girls) but in those same 2019, I do not see where they had a director on the Boys ECNL Board of Directors. Chapman has been on the ECNL board since like day one.

Depends on how you define the 2 team. If they’re a part of the Academy and the process of development then no, the Academy Director should oversee the 2 Coach. If they’re separate like the MLS team is and only worry about winning/developing a team then I think you’re right. Just depends on how they want to look at development and whats the long term goal for players on the 2 team.

Not exactly the same level, but it’s games.
